Eth in my opinion is actually worth more than any other coin in the crypto space, even more than Bitcoin. It is being used as the platform for smart contracts, and other coins, faster and cheaper transactions which is Bitcoin's major struggle. Because of Eth, DAI was created, a coin that's made to be 1:1 with the dollar and with minimal volatility. This may not directly benefit Eth, but these things benefit the progress of the blockchain technology in the long run.

I find it hard to believe that ethereum would rise to 2k at the end of the year. Base on the market trends ethereum is really struggling to get even a $200 support. The bottom price for ethereum in 2018 is around $164 and many analyst believed that it could be a contribution of dumping the coin from many project collected from the ICO funding. Further, the bear market is the big hindrance for ethereum to rise up.. Well even in stock market the 2018 is not a good time for them.. So let just see and wait for the best. Time will unfold and different story well be told tomorrow.

$2000 is a big amount, it is possible but maybe not in the near future. FYI, the current price is $133, it doesn't make sense to reach up to $2000 this year. Even if there is a bullrun, I think the maximum price that is possible to reach is about $700 - $1000.

I agree with you still there is six months in 2019 and in my personal analysis price of ethereum become 2000 usd depends on the the price of bitcoin, because however the king of cryptocurrencies is bitcoin and the ethereum the queen of cryptocurrencies all of cryptocurrencies will follow the price of bitcoin, in my own personal opinions the price of ethereum will not be 2000 usd in this year. We must wait until the price of bitcoin to be 20.000 usdor more than it, but if we want make investment in ethereum today is still good time to buy more ethereum and it is for long term investment not for short term investment in ethereum.
