Title: What do you want from an ICO?
Post by: zorchy on October 17, 2018, 03:37:42 AM
Having taken some time to look at a number of ICO's in depth, it looks to me that a large number of them may be marketers first and developers second. They all seem to be great at selling a vision or product but when you actually start to scratch beneath the surface, you start to notice that they promise the impossible, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. That's not to say that all ICOs are like that, there's a number of very well thought out and genuine ones.

So my question is, what do you want from an ICO with regards to its presentation and what they offer? Is having a working demo or MVP the most important? Is it all about the team or does that not matter if they've already demonstrated their competence? Do you want the ICO team to generate hype and "oversell" or would you rather a more honest and direct approach?

Of course all of us want that ICO can really develop the working product which we can use in real life not just selling the vision and mission. Cause i cant see right now their real use case in our real life. You can imagine if that ICO already have an use case in real life i think it will be more good for this crypto world rather than just after listing in the exchanger then they are just dont develop their product. And id they already finish a half of their product i think it must be really a cool ICO. Cause at least they already can give us their proof if they are serious and really gentle.

The ICO is currently boring because what they describe always looks very good and when they enter the market they disappear immediately, although not all ICOs are. More tangible projects and ICOs will be needed in the future, meaning that if developers offer something more real and realistic, such as selling their tokens, they will be directly integrated with a product in the real world so that when ICO sales are successful, investors have genuine products with these tokens.

we all need an ICO that is more realistic with all the whitepapers and the roadmap they make and also integrates the original product is important because I believe that investors prefer to buy products rather than buy value from something that is false

what the investors and bounty hunters want is certainly a successful ico. A successful ico will generate tokens that have high prices on the market. The token also has good prospects in the future. therefore, we must be smart in chhosing ico to get the satisfactory results.

ICO, I chose it because it offered a large discount, but unfortunately now I have never followed the ICO again, because most ICO tokens are always dumped.
my advice, if you really want an ICO, it's better if you buy it in amrket and the price will drop 5 times more than the ICO.

ICO is necessary to define the project potential and it's reliability. We need the truth. The truthfulness of the project, team, and the product.

Do you want the truth or you want the wishes?

The truth and as an investor all I want in any ICO is the HYPE surrounding it, these days it is all about HYPing, there is a lot of good ICOs I witnessed that failed because there was no HYPE surrounding it, and in the other hand there is load of shitty ICOs that succeeded just because of the HYPE it had.

My wish and it should be only about the product and team behind it I wish that no ICO would start with prototype or demo but that is just wishes, we all know anyone with an idea can just decide next day to make an ICO and raise money.

I think everyone will say and hope to find a good ico and be successful. This will be beneficial for all participants, be it bounties or investors. And the biggest hope of all participants is that the token that is registered will have a high price on the market.

Very simple. What I want from the ICO is the loss of a Scam project, so that many people will start believing in the ICO and start boosting the price of tokens and coins in Cryptocurrency. I think that is what I only want from the ICO, so that we both go forward and get mutual benefits here.

Ideally, I would like to see in ICO a good team, Who knows exactly what they are going to. such teams have in their composition of wonderful marketers, technical executors and programmers. They show not only pictures but also a finished product, then it will work.

MVP and team information are important to me because its the critical part that I need to know when I want to invest in ICO is to consider the quality of the product and the team's experience in the business industry, Hype is needed too exactly but if we talk about hype in ICO is not too important because, the fact that many projects are reaching Hard cap but token price drops when they listed on exchanges, maybe the hype is needed when ICO ends will be better for investors.

For starters, from ICO I want to have a finished product. Then listing on popular exchanges. As well as for the project to develop after entering the stock exchange, it’s not easy to merge all of the tokens. Of course, the most important thing I want from the ICO is to get a big profit.

For me traditional ico is not good to put your trust during this time because mostly are not faithful to their promise after they reached the hard cap.  Better to find an ico with product this is rare but once you have it you will surely in a good hand.

I expect honest and direct approach but also team should generating hype.I want to see them on every presentation/congress they can get in presale/crowdsale time. And not only one man, give me 2 or 3 at same time in another country.I expect all of them to be present on Linkedin.I want to see that roadmap and expectations met till crowdsale is finished.
So much about my fav ICO´s where i was invested. It looks different by bounty campagnes, expectations are less.

Actually my main reason is earning money. But if i want to earn money surely ico's need to do their promises.  Generally i am reading their whitepapers and roadmaps before investing icos.
So i am choosing the best one. I want from these guys to achieve their targets and surely some exchange listings with good volume.
