I found out the some countries are usually restricted from either investing into an ico, performing bounty or participating in an airdrops. Any details why?
-
I am also interested in this question, I rested in Vietnam this summer, and there is such a restriction there, and therefore I was afraid to work there so as not to get a fine :o

yeah you are right, Vietnam is on the list of restricted countries so as the USA

Vietnam has many scammers so BM and developers must be careful when doing bounties and airdrops. they are smart and used to do this so it needs restrictions with kyc and other ways to avoid using multiple accounts on airdrop and bounty

I don't think the reason of restriction is about the scammer issue. Every country potentially has scammers and restriction is not really effective to avoid them. I'm just guessing if it's about the dominance of token holders.

Regulations in each country make crypto investments restricted, chances are some governments forbid because they fear some people from their country will abuse crypto for their interests.
-
it's possible to reduce crime like fraud,
i have also heard or read several countries, indeed limiting investors and bounties.
actually i don't really understand the main reason, but one of them might be like i said earlier.

that's too bad, do you think maybe in the near future there will be chance in which the restriction might be lift of

Maybe the reason for the state restricting investment entering the crypto world because the government does not want the country to have a high dependence on the existence of digital investment. On the other hand, the Government will damage that its citizens will continue to pay taxes even though there are citizens who do not pay for investing in this Crypto world.
-
Most likely this is somehow related to the policy, and the project teams thus set priorities and limitations!

yea that might be one of good reason

I think maybe some countries are restricted in purchasing in ICO because it might be use in money laundering . CryptoCurrency is still considered as an investment and an asset and the fact that it is decentralized makes it more easy to be use in such way.

Among many answers above, you guys have correct answers related to question. Yes, the restriction is caused by the regulation from some countries in the world. Every government has different regulation for ICO activities. Only some governments in the world that totally ban all businesses and individuals to take a part in ICO. The others allow its citizens to join ICOs as investors.

there are some countries that have not been able to accept crypto and prohibit it for several reasons. but we must also know that the cryptocurrency will be profitable if we can use it well.

The team behind a project doing an ICO just want to be on the safe side. They do not want to deal with the legalities and other risks involved in allowing unaccredited investors from countries with strict or unclear regulation on cryptocurrency investments.

I am sure it's because government regulations.
