Title: Is Africa a good place for crypto?
Post by: Domithra on October 27, 2018, 02:29:03 AM
Although most of the indigenous people in Africa are not ICT and technology inclined, Africa is one of the good continents for crypto. Most of the countries are developing whereas some are underdeveloped with low economic status.
Bringing crypto to the people will boost the economy as it generates job opportunities and harness the payment systems as well.

What kind of job opportunities do you think crypto will bring to people in Africa?  I am from Southeast Asia, all I see is bounty hunters and trader.  I am not sure if that even a real job, because as I see on local exchange, lot of people loss on trading because in trading if someone got profit it mean someone else got loss.

Maybe, but not for now I think, I knew some bounty hunters from Africa and I talk to them sometime and told me about their situation there. Not all are gifted to gain opportunity to learn crypto on their part. Some still invalidate the existence of technological advancement but its good to know that there are few there embraces it.

Not at the moment. some are still not fully aware of how crypto really works even in other countries ,some people from africa who knew crypto tends to take advantage of other people from their country I've read that from an article. They also still need to upgrade their technology.thats just my opinion.

If I observe clearly. There are still many countries in Africa whose technology is still not advanced and adequate, even its economic conditions are still not stable. So in my opinion crypto use is still minimal there and cannot be applied real and also permanently. I think Crypto is more suitable in Asia, Europe, Australia and America.

Yes Africa might be a place for crypto currency, base on it it population, but the present state of development is a disadvantage to the development of crypto, presently most Africa countries are still tag as developing countries, base on the technological development and economic status, most do not have access to internet facilities and electricity is still not stable, this are core need for crypto currency to be viable.

Would be nice to see some sort of prototype crypto villages, where the housing and the food is paid for by the mining, from the sun.  Overall I think it's a good fit, both for currency stability and preventing dollar forgery.

I am seeing a lot of projects organizing or attending events in Africa lately. I would assume that there's a huge untapped market there, they just need to be educated about crypto.

Africa market is a good place for cryptocurrency, they just need some level of sensitisation and they will comply, currently there are some massive adopters especially the African biggest investment market 'Nigeria'.

I saw cryptocurrency started to grow well in Africa. The indication can bee seen from many crypto projects that is ready to support the development of crypto there. I know some projects coming from Africa, one of them is Ceybit. It is a local exchange built in Sri Lanka. I believe this exchange will trigger many new crypto projects at the near future.

I think that Africa is a very good place for crypto because there are many banking problems and services are less developed than in Europe or America, so I think that crypto can have a BIG place in people financial needs .

True, I saw that and some of the projects that grew there were related to finance such as crypto exchanges and banks. Although some of the projects are dead, but that does not rule out the possibility that Africa is the most open country for crypto, see several exchanges there via the link: What Are The Top 10 Bitcoin Cryptocurrency Exchanges In Africa? Developing countries with great enthusiasm take part in the promotion of cryptocurrencies in their country, even though there are a lot of problems with the implementation of these plans in the country. It is difficult to say how much it will help them to create an economic miracle. It all depends on the specific people.

I'm from Africa, and I believe crypto is growing much stronger in my country (Nigeria)  and Nigeria is rated second in crypto world after China. The only issue is our government going against it but nevertheless many people are having more knowledge about it every day.

It is a good decision to bring cryptocurrency to Africa. As it appears, many in the region are still not familiar so just imagine if they get educated. That's a lot of potential investors.
