In a year-long investigation into the alleged crypto scam, Polish police have managed to recover $11.6 million from the controversial DasCoin, an alleged Ponzi scheme that has defrauded investors.
The news is being reported locally with confirmation coming from the spokesperson of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office, Ewa Bialik.
DasCoin was a cryptocurrency specifically launched to raise funds for the MLM company known as Net Leaders. However, the investigation related to this company started back in 2017 when regulatory authorities in the country raised alarms over both Net Leaders and the cryptocurrency DasCoin.
Although Polish authorities are still trying to fully uncover the extent of the DasCoin operation, they are currently looking into the violations of Polish Criminal Code and are looking to file charges accordingly against the accused parties.
Polish authorities are still unsure what to do with the confiscated money and are deciding the fate of the founders and benefactors of DasCoin and Net Leaders.
