Title: Do you care how advanced a coin is?
Post by: moonking on November 02, 2018, 03:55:25 PM
For the most part I don't understand super technical abilities of a coin, and for the most part the only advancement I need is super fast and cheap confirmations.  However I do understand the basic concepts of contract coins like ether and security coins like zcash.  Do you care how advanced a coin is aside from transaction speed?  Do you feel additional security features of coins make them more appealing? Should more coins offer contract creation ability?

From the topic, I will say yes, I consider how advanced the technology of a coin is. Before I invest in any project, I must be convinced about the project.

Anything specific features you are looking for?  Do you like security coins over contract ones?

Speed and security are usually what I look for also. I am not really a technical person so I do not really pay much attention to the details of a specific coin or token. I still rely on opinion of more knowledgeable guys about how advanced a project is.

Of course, it is one of the most important part of the project when you think about buying and holding it for a long time. It is the part which eliminates the shit coins from the good ones.

I'm not a technician and very expert but I think that coins that use innovative technologies are advanced comparered to their competitors. Take a look for example at EOS, it has a structure that is quite unique and I think that this is one of reason of the success of this project.

I am not dev because of that i dont understand about technical issues generally but while i am investing a coin yes i am trying to do some resarch about their technology. For me there is 4 important things about coins.
That project must be a blockchain project.
Tps
Privacy option
and cross chain abilities.
That is my 4 important thing which i am trying to learn before investing any blockchain project.

I am more into the application of these "advance" coins or token. Being the most advance is a plus point but it is more important if it can really be applied in solving real world issues.

Although i am a person that does not really put much focus on the coin advancement however we still must put certain extent of care on the aspects that you are referring. Not all investors will be so detail but if we really want to buy some coins that will rise in value we should take note of all this features.

Sometimes, if I like the project with its ideas and its token, then I study the possibilities of the token and how it will be able to show itself in the future, but I usually spend little time on this, because it interests me very little.

There's a lot of coins who has a lot of different features and uniqueness. That's what I consider before entering on the project. The more that a coin will going to be a big help on achieving another good thing for the future then I will be a supporter of it.
