Be Careful In Downloading Cryptocurrency App.
Recently, an app called “Easy Rates Converter” promoted as a currency converter was found to be running phishing software at the background of the device. This app was designed in a way to steal the details of cryptocurrency owners.
The app was originally advertised as a tool that can be used for converting the currency rates. However, it is now uncovered that it has a way of stealing the information of cryptocurrency wallet holders. This app was particularly targeting the wallet users who had an account with many other widely used cryptocurrency wallet apps like CommBank, Google Play, and the official Binance app.

And how many more of these applications can be scattered in google play? I used to often heard about hacking wallets of users using access to their smartphone. I would like to ask Google why their security system skips such applications???

Good information, I never use the application wallet in the PlayStore, because I know it will happen, retrieve your e-mail and some information from the data that we have, I think Google will take action by removing applications that have been proven to be fraudulent.

This is scary. I have given google play the benefit of the doubt that they are always screening the applications before they are given a go signal. If that was not immediately called out, then thousands or even millions of funds could have been stolen.

That is extremely careless of Google. I thought a site like this would do a due diligence on any app before allowing it on its play store. I will really need to be more careful of what I download from play store from henceforth. Thank you for the information.

It would be better to wait for new crypto related apps to be tried by someone else first. At least you should download only the apps you are already using.

Yes we have to pay more attention on chrome apps because not every apps are fully tested and veryfied. Personally I install only few extentions to reduce such risk.

Even though I don'T like apple, for this case the app store is more reliable. One should always be careful with the google play store.

Indeed, we must really be careful about what we install on our phones. But it is also Google that must check the applications before adding them to the PlayStore. Android is starting to have a lot of problems.

This is the bad side of crypto, many greedy hackers want to steal our tokens. Be sure to be safe guys as much as possible try to contact developers and read reviews on it

Oh my! I did not think a malicious app would even pass the google security and audit. I have to be more careful now in downloading applications from them, that was really careless from google and risky for users.

In my opinion, this is not the last and not the only application with such potential, so you should always carefully and carefully download new applications from there!

For me i rather miss out something that i am unsure than to loss my already own assets. If you are not sure what is that program or app better to don't download it than risking your wallet details over a few dollar.

This is not the first and definitely wouldn't be the last, no matter how security concious we aren't there would be that one smart hackers that would always look for a way to break past our defences, this isn't the first malicious app I have heard about.

This post will be useful for beginners. When I started practicing crypto, I constantly installed various applications and this didn’t lead to anything good. I was hacked twice. Therefore, be careful and never install suspicious applications.

There's a lot of new scamming apps now. I hope google play will going to be more strict when it comes to app listing to avoid that kind of things.

It is a crime! I think google play store must eliminate that app if it is really harmful to crypto user?
Guys keep safe and don't be lazy downloading any related app to crypto.

I have heard a lot of complaints about savedroid but not about their mobile app being malicious. I downloaded the app before but I uninstalled after. I do not really know how it works or if it even works.

It is true and this information is certainly very helpful for those of us who don't know, nowadays there are many applications that can steal our data, therefore we must be extra careful, even though it's an application from the Google Play store but we still can't arbitrarily install applications - application that has something to do with Cryptocurrency ..

I am always afraiding to download something from google play store. Because all applications want some permissions. Even some calculator apps want permission about calling people etc. That seems really fishy to me and after that malicious app news i will never download something from google play store again. That is serious issue and we need to be careful.
