I think most people still have that image of black market origins of bitcoin, with the silk road or whatever it was called. If they see good news, and if payment processors start accepting bitcoin, that will change.

Just one of many tweets about it, this is my only problem with them as a community, the childish claims of being the real bitcoin, they also on the @Bitcoin handle and do nothing but trash Bitcoin, very bad image for the crypto community! New comers are getting scared away from this childish behavior.

The media belongs to the same people who are struggling with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so it’s natural that Bitcoin is black. I do not understand why those on whose accounts there are huge amounts in Bitcoin are so poorly advocated for Bitcoin.

Nah, rebranding bitcoin will not work. Something that has been known for years and by many regardless if thru positive or negative news will not be forgotten by just changing name of logo.

Possible rebranding is a form of cheating others unknowingly. This action is for those who wants to leave unsettled issues and some of the disrespectful communities. But rebranding is not the right solution if there are affected innocent investors.

I think until now I was the strongest supporter of Bitsquare here, but now I start to have doubts. Bitsquare was the only hope in Bitcoinlandia for a clean, P2P decentralzied exchange, now becamse fishy this "rebranding"...

Rebranding is another milestone to go beyond from what was the past unsettled circumstances and achievements. It is the only way to move forward and fix its weakness system to overcome whatever will come against it. That's the good part of rebranding.

This should be a responsibility of all crypto lovers. The only way we can see btc pumps up so high again is for more people to come in and that can happen if we start to spread good news about btc to wipe out the already existing false information out there.
