Title: XRP Tip Bot to Bring Ripple’s Technology to Alexa App Store
Post by: Pegasus on November 10, 2018, 12:03:10 PM
The XRP tipping bot used on Reddit, Discord, and Twitter may be moving to the Alexa App Store, becoming a part of the Amazon ecosystem. Alexa app developer @nixerFFM has posted a message to say a beta version for the store is coming soon.

Hey @haydentiff, hilarious video yesterday!:D
I have something new for you. I hope you guys own an Alexa at home :)
This will go into beta soon, so some people can try it out. But still needs some improvements first ;)
Thanks also to @WietseWind for the support with the API :) pic.twitter.com/5LA6AFTckI

XRP, which so far failed to become the coin to displace the SWIFT interbank payment system, is gaining ground on social media by being used to tokenize YouTube payments.

The spread of XRP is seen as an opportunity to disseminate knowledge about the asset. But despite the donations and airdrops, XRP is yet to experience a rally comparable to the one that allowed it to peak at $3.84 on January 4, 2018. Still, some continue to prophesy prices of $5.

XRP remains one of the few altcoins more decisively gaining ground against BTC in the past few months. Recently, it reclaimed the number two spot on CoinMarketCap, but prices remained stagnant close to the $0.50 level.

The coin traded at exactly $0.50 at 10:50 UTC on Friday, up around 9% in the past week. It has staged regular rallies but remains stuck below the $1 level. The most recent price spike, which saw XRP go as high as $0.53, was based on rumors the asset could be integrated into Apple Pay.

XRP is seen as a potential gainer while separate altcoins rally without the entire market rising in unison. But while the XRP climbs are construed as a possibility by its loyal community, others deem Ripple an unwanted presence among blockchain projects.

Alexa has been reading out information on cryptocurrency prices for about a year now, readily answering queries on the price of XRP. However, the possibility of voice tipping is still in the testing stage.
