Like all digital technology, it is unquestionable that sooner or later bitcoin will have to be replaced by a superior technology, just as in the past we saw many devices become obsolete when at the time seemed insurmountable, such as CDs or PCs.
Obviously this will happen in a gradual way, but I do not believe that bitcoin can retain its current dominance for more than ten years before starting to fall into disuse, although perhaps its influence could persist in the market about ten years.
In the end, bitcoin is likely to subsist for many years, but by then it will have evolved in such a way that it will be virtually unrecognizable for today’s standards, and in fact it is difficult that in 15 years there is something similar to the current cryptocurrencies before the spectacular advances in digital technology that are approaching.

Even if bitcoin we not last for ever, it will take a long time before we can perceive that. For now let keep believing that it will serve the purpose it was created for.

I think it will last longer. Bitcoin is a technology too and can be upgradable at anytime. If there exists a higher technology, Bitcoin network can always upgrade

It is possible that all altcoins or all digital assets will be replaced, I believe, because technology will be more advanced and sophisticated from year to year, so if only digital or crypto technology can be replaced by more sophisticated technology than blockchain technology and certainly will be easier to understand , easier to use and very safe from all kinds of hackers.

We have to believe in Bitcoin so on, because now Bitcoin has just begun to show itself at a very high price on the market, so now bitcoin is known by many in the world because of its price, even though Bitcoin is actually 10 years, because Bitcoin is currently reaching high prices , so it's Bitcoin just like showing itself to the public. Quite right, it usually happens after a while, but this will also affect by investors, namely by big players. Bitcoin will be at the first place while there will be more demand for it than for other altcoins.

We can't blame people who are saying negative speculation about bitcoin because this is what happening nowadays and all investors are losing too much of their investment and even today they don't know yet when it recovers back, For now we just hope that in due time market will fully recovers so investors will trust again.

I think this is a questionable statement, as it's like saying that the Internet will not last forever, because it will be surpassed by superior technology.
To me the question is whether side-chain (off-chain) technology can be implemented into Bitcoin, such as Lightning via Segwit.
It's likely there will be more popular and efficient forms of payment than BTC going into the future, but that doesn't change it's store of value.
In one way it reminds me how hardware such as ADSL became upgraded to DSL and now we are going into fibreoptic, but ultimately the Internet has remained the same.

As people say "There is nothing that will last forever" that is true, technology always changes from time to time, we don't know what technology will emerge in the next few years, whether bitcoin will disappear, be replaced, or upgraded. No one know.

I don't know that is a foregone conclusion. It may not last forever, but I think as long as crypto is around, Bitcoin will be around even if the technology is way behind other coins.

Bitcoin is designed to last forever because BTC is designed to be just a currency and a currency can not just vanish. However, if people keep push BTC in the wrong direction like right now then pretty soon BTC will turn into just an asset and if that happened then I am 100% agree with you and in that case I think ten years is too much and people will start to move to the next more profitable thing once BTC stop being profitable.

I am not agree, over the 5 years a lot of people say the bitcoin will die,its a scam etc.,but year by years became more strong and popular,and people are start to use bitcoin tehnology.

You made me laugh and I think you need some orientation to really know what cryptocurrency is all about not just a peer to peer and increase in dollar value that many think is the main reason for using it and that is the only major issue I see that can take the great innovation away from mankind if we are not improving in the technology , so your decade time is just the beginning of what Bitcoin has to offer and I believe we will definitely have more creativity in technology that will make cryptocurrency to be a thing of past but not a decade time and not three or more but will be a very long journey that our generation will not even known about.

if you look at the situation like now. the price of cryiptocurrency always goes down. if the price falls more. and there is no exchange value for sure. the bitcoin world will be many people who stop investing. but I am very sure. if the digital world still exists. the existence of bitcoin is still there ..

What technology will replace Bitcoin? basically, we can't predict the crypto market because we know that the crypto market is not stable. but I think cryptocurrency will still be profitable for the next few years and the development will also be better. therefore we must be able to use it well to get a profit from it because we will not know how long the crypto will last.

It takes 15 minutes (for the fastest) for every Bitcoin shipment from Exchange A to Exchange B.
If it's faster or about 1-2 seconds sending Bitcoin, maybe Bitcoin will last forever.

Cryptocurrencies will certainly last forever because they are an integral part of the existing virtual world of a lot of years. I came to the present market as a result of it's a large supply of profits if we have a tendency to succeed. This market is nice if we all know the way to use it, this market can offer United States lots of profit if we all know the way to trade. however i've got not very succeeded as a result of I came to the present market once it absolutely was within the downtrend stage

even though bitcoin can't live forever for me, I won't worry, because I'm sure the development of bitcoin will be longer and will be brighter in the next few years, so I think there are still many opportunities to invest in bitcoin.
