I believe that for a long time it is better to buy Ethereum, especially if there is another protracted correction. Ripple can be traded for a short time, I think some profit it is able to bring.

If I prefer to stick to Ethereum instead of Ripple. Because for me Ethereum is a good and potential coin and can give a big profit that I get from Ethereum. Therefore I chose Ethereum because of that and later it will become a future coin that is worthy of my investment and trading.

I chose Ethereum instead of choosing Ripple. Because of Ripple I see it is a coin of a bank that still uses the Centralized System. Why not choose Ripple? Even if it is centralized, as long as you can gain much profits through the coins, I think it is no problem to buy and trade it. Ripple is in the second rank on coinmarketcap, it is always rising very fast, so it is potential coin for holding.

I don't think that they are fighting for the second position but they all excluding Bitcoin fighting for being number 1. And I think it's hard to compare because the participants are not from same site. In one hand ethereum is a decentralised platform based token which is the most popular ICO platform. In other hand ripple is a technology will be used by bank a parent gateway or a protocol. But the problem with ripple is it's not decentralised and it's backed up by banks. So people think after a time ripple will be a no price change token. But as a investment both of them are very good. And always do se research on your own.

Let us respect other opinion. For you Ethereum is better than ripple but probably ripple is much better for others. There are different form and system between the two coin and each coin is worthy to invest as what every investor choice.

Ethereum is a decentralised cryptocurrency whereas Ripple is centralized. Ripple is more of a payment system. Ethereum on the other hand has many different use. With Ethereum 2.0 things will be very different.
Ripple supply is very high therefore the chance of it's price going up up is very dim. Ethereum on the other hand did reach $1k in 2017 and can again reach that level.
Hence if you think about profit and decentralisation then you should invest in Ethereum.

You are true if prices eth pump, the gas will also rise this incident just as the same in years 2017 gas eth really expensive at the time and now it happened again in 2020 the price of gas reached 239 gwei a rise drastically I think this is deliberate because already 3 years of concerns about the cost of gas is still the same as ever ethereum and XRP so different in terms of gas and the delivery is quite different XRP faster and cheaper.

I think ripple will soon replace ethereum if they don't do something to reduce the current fees. With slow sending but up to 5$. A number too imaginary. With Ripple, the transaction speed is significantly faster than that of Ethereum, furthermore their transaction fees start from just $0.05
