Title: Stellar may overtake Ethereum.

I am currently keen on the ongoing market situation, and i observed that ETH was most affected going down to Ripple(XRP) to the 2nd position at the coinmarkekcap ranking. Now, it seem to me that XLM is coming up stronger and may overtake Ethereum in near future.

yes, it's true that the possibility of stellar (XLM) will overtake ethereum because stellar i see getting stronger and very dangerous threatening the position of ethereum, i believe stellar potential will be good in the future.

I think you may like to know that Kik recently moved their ICO to Stellar's network too, making it the new hot platform for building DApps (sorry NEO).So what does this mean? At the moment XLM holds roughly $10 Billion total market cap, but we can expect that to grow dramatically as it takes on added utility throughout the year.

Many Stellar investors like to see this coin to overtake Ethereum for them to gain more profit on their investment but i don't this this will happen within this year. Maybe by 2019 Stellar will rise in the market.

It is possible but it seems quite hard to overtake ethereum. When the market begins to recover, the price of ethereum may increase significantly. Stellar needs more innovation to improve its value and popularity.

Looking at the CMC, the difference is just too far right now. Before Stellar can overtake Ethereum, it has to overtake Ripple first because I do not think Eth will stay at number 3 come January 2019 or later. The launch of Ethereum 2.0 could increase its value.

Right, that is possible.
Ethereum has many users so it is very difficult for other coin to overtake it.
Stellar users are growing also. There are many tokens prefer to use stellar platform.
So it is possible for stellar to overtake ethereum rank on coinmarketcap

Nothing impossible, but I am sure stellar won't overtake ethereum sooner. The market condition doesn't get better. The price of altcoins are experiencing decline period, including stellar. It will increase after upcoming bullrun.

Stellar can possibly surpass Ethereum if the market price value of it will continue to fall but for now i don't think it will happend because Ethereum market price value is still higher than Stellar.

However good xlm is it still is like xrp is centralised and in corporate hands which does in itself has appeal to some consumers.
Etherum is decentralised  and has some  brilliant programmers on its team now with the upcoming update it will be faster and capable of  handling more transactions so I am really positive about etherums future

Stellar had the potential to do that but because ETH is too weak now. Next month ETH will have an upgrade and after that I think ETH can rise again and take back the second place in the top 10 crypto currencies

I down't know whether it is available to overtake the ethereum or not. In fact, ETH is still experiencing the very bloodbath market. The value is really down, compared to the stellar. So far, I like how the progress of this stellar coin in the market.

I really like investing stellar although i believe on it but i dont  think it can overtake ethereum because ethereum is the 2nd most trusted and with the highest number of investors world wide and ethereum also is commonly use by so many ICO projects.

Stellar follows Ethereum, it takes a lot of news to increase Stellar prices.
On the Stellar there are BitcoinCash and EOS, so surely Stellar must also raise its market capitalist to overtake EOS, BitcoinCash and Ripple.

Maybe waiting for the right time for Stellar to overtake Ethereum because I see Stellar is not strong enough to continue to enter number 4 Coinmarketcap.

It seems but I don't think so, I don't think it can overtake ethereum. Ethereum is a strong coin and no doubt stellar is a great coin with great potentials but I don't think it can overtake ethereum

Recently there has been a migration by crypto projects away from Ethereum and Stellar Lumens has been one of the primary destinations. Things like being able to easily generate dividends, limit who could hold tokens, time-bound functions for transactions as well as built-in token issuance capabilities making it super easy to launch a token and a dex which gives immediate liquidity without the need to go out and seek a third party exchange. Considering how hard and expensive it can be to get listed on a major exchange, this is actually a very powerful feature of stellar and all of this does offer a significant advantage over ethereum but ethereum also has its strong advantages as well.

I for one do not see stellar cryptocurrency overtaking Ethereum. The two blockchain protocol are so different in their purposes. The Ethereum blockchain supports new coins and its smart contracts make it possible for startup ICOs.

I do not think that even in the future stellar will be able to overtake ethereum, everything of course depends from what the stellar team will do to achieve the best results and opportunities, but ethereum will not stand still on one place either and will move forward.

Yes because out of ETH there are still many strong competitors for Stellar like NEO, EOS or ZIL, to beat these opponents is also a hard thing for Stellar

Stellar has quite a large amount of supply in circulation, for beginners who want to invest in this coin it might be easy, and hope the price can go up and shift the position of ethereum, I won't compare the two, because you can see how new projects continue to dominate the network blockchain ethereum, this is just my opinion, but stellar also has good projects in its network

It is good that you are an enthusiast, but I would better think it over which currency is to support. Ethereum is definitely many times better. Buterin work super hard.

In the crypto face anything is possible overtaking is allowed but that could be under probability for Stella coins to overtake etherum it is possible for that to happen but etherum is gaining more strength in the crypto market despite the downtrend of the market etherum is still on top even when other coins are fallen so anything is possible.

I think Ethereum will never be overtaken by Stellar. Ethereum has good improvement so far, while Stellar seems hard to increase/develop. I don't know what happened in Stellar. I guess the airdrop make Stellar price getting worse. I hope the team can do something to trigger the price growing again.

If you will look at the latest updates from stellar and ethereum, then of course it is obvious that stellar will not be able to catch up with ethereum and overtake, because stellar is trying to gain popularity due to airdrops, but ethereum really develops its technologies and capabilities.

In cryptocurrency business anything is possible any coins can out grow each depending on it's efficient to actually grow in price value, but for me I think stellar will actually increase in value because of the recent burn that took place on the 4th day of Nov. So this can help stellar to start bull run

It is unlikely that Stellar will be able to overtake Ethereum in popularity in the near future, but I’m sure that the popularity of the Stellar blockchain will grow, because it has a number of advantages over its competitors, over Ethereum and projects. Even without Ethereum 2.0, Stellar has no chance either in the present or in the future to overtake Ethereum, because most companies create their tokens specifically on ethereum blockain and therefore Stellar has no chance, but Stellar still is so very popular.

Impossible,,, its a imaginary predictions of peoples. Stellar never overcome Ethereum. Ethereum is 2nd positioned cryptocurrency in the world markets. Its popularity range increasingly as seen by eye.

Yes I see stellar XLM is going strong now. But we must see the CMC now. Ethereum is still on the second rank and USDT has overtook XRP. They are very potential coin. We must be carreful to choose.

Yes I see XLM is coming up stronger,  But I think XLM will not overtake ethereum.  I know,  everything  is possible,  but It will take several years  again.  Because  Ethereum  is more popular  and more be needed  at bounty tokens.

Impossible to overcome bitcoin. Stellar may hit highest 20 dollars maximum but bitcoin all time king of the all cryptocurrencies.

I think this is impossible this year ripple dropped from third position right now ethereum is stay in second actually this year ethereum is stable in second so it's market capitalization is significantly increasing moreover stellar market capitalization is too low compared with ethereum market capitalization so stellar will not over take ethereum.

Right, Standing at 14th rank, it is very logn path for the XLM to beat Ethereum which is now 2nd rank coin. To beat ETH, XLM needs to pump 1300% from the present rate which is too hard to beat within few years. But not impossible if XLM can show their necessity of DEX to the investors.

Have you really checked the crypto market recently seen that etherum is doing quitely well in terms of price value so I think that it depend on some situation if etherum fails to grow that's the only way stellar may try to overtake etherum  in the market because there are a lot of competion in the crypto market.

Ripple already overtaken Ethereum before but it did no last for a long period. So, I guess it is also possible for Stellar to overtake ETH and yet won't last for long. Ethereum can bounce back instantly from falls.

I don't think it is possible for Stellar to overtake Ethereum in the current year or the next year because Ethereum occupies $40B marketcap where Stellar has $1.5B marketcap. It means 26 times higher than Stellar marketcap. If Ethereum remains same price and Stellar price hit $1.90 per XLM then Stellar can touch the Ethereum. Can it possible in the near future? In the long run, anything can happen but i don't think it is possible for short time.

I would not create too big illusions about this. Ethereum is too far and high in relation to the stellar. but stellar definitely has prospects and a sufficiently high potential. stellar is a very successful project, but it needs to do more to pass ethereum. There are thousands of dapps actively working on the ethereum network today. it also has the potential to host more dapps thanks to its ethereum smart contract feature.

It is never possible. Yes maybe Ethereum was much more damaged. Running since you. If you are more interested in the crypto market then I think if you look at the market you can see that the price of Ethereum has increased many times more than before. And the price of ethereum is expected to break all past records this year. So I think Steller can't go to Ethereum's position.

Mate, you are right I agree with you. Steeler will never be able to overtake Ethereum. It may never be possible. Ethereum is the most popular currency today. The value of this currency is increasing as the days go by. I think the price of this currency will increase more in the future. So Stellar will never be able to go to Ethereum's position.

Its not ealy to take over eth but Lot of people bought in at 42c and it hits 52c so they make 500 to 50k and sell to invest in other bullish coins like binance, polka, ada, just wait and let the price hit the new normals.. gonna take a bit cause crypro is so bullish and xlm been sitting... just HODL XLM will explode soon.

Ethereum is biggest platform than stellar currently both are profitable investments we can hold both coins to long term investments because both coins future will be very bright and they're huge profitable coins but stellar will not beat the ethereum because ethereum market capitalization is too high than stellar in the future the price of ethereum will rise again.

Why does this always echo when a good coin will replace Ethereum? This is quite a difficult thing because you need to build from scratch and try to catch up with Ethereum, which is also at the forefront of this. Right now stellar is doing good and a strong team is working behind stellar to develop it. On the other hand the position of etherium in the crymto market is very high and its price also high. Though the price of stellar is increasing and its position also being increased ; but it is not sure when and how stellar may overtake etherium but it may happen in future.

It is too far for Stellar to overtake Ethereum because the community of Ethereum is very large, not to mention the type of Ethereum koi mining that Miners prefer.
Stellar is not mined, but only created and printed by the #DevelopmentTeam  and maybe this is only beneficial for the #DevelopmentTeam .
But this Etheruem when we want to own it has to be mined or traded in the market, so the prize for this #DevelopmentTeam  is very good potential for Ethereum when compared to Stellar.

Many investors annoyed about ERC20 gas fee, it's so high.

If we talk about who will be  the next Ethereum, I think cardano and BNB are the best candidates.

Although that Stellar Lumens is fast and cheap in transaction fees, it’s unlikely that it will overtake Ethereum. Despite the exorbitant gas fees of Ethereum, it has so many Dapps that are operating right now. I know that nothing is impossible, but it has no to slim chances that it will overtake Ethereun in market capitalization (with the exception of XRP a few times though).

Ethereum can accomplish everything Stellar can do, plus a lot more, but it can't do it as rapidly or as cheaply as Stellar.

Stellar and Ethereum do not serve exactly the same industry. Ethereum provides services on smart contracts. Stellar is a fast and secure payment gateway. Also, to be realistic, Ethereum has too many developers. As long as the developers continue to be there, no one can beat Ethereum.

Stellar Network is slowly consolidating its hold in the market. I think it will catch a good pace in the coming time. I am sure it will affect the market a lot. As far as beating ethereum is concerned, it looks very difficult at present. But that means it is a weak network.

Hello, XLM rank is number 24 buddy, and we all see Ethereum is still on  number 2 on crypto currency.
I suggest you don't have high expectations stellar may overtake Ethereum.
Ethereum is more popular and always being the queen of crypto currency.
Maybe BNB  and Solana that have potentially to beat Ethereum for the short time, but I believe Ethereum will overtake them again and  being number second on top coins.

I checked coinmarketcap for Stellar and Ethereum coins, it turns out that both are coins that have been circulating in the cryptocurrency circle for a very long time, I am also sure that Stellar must have a lot of history because OP wrote that Stellar will be able to overtake Ethereum.
