With the ongoing blood shed of bitcoin price which is also affecting almost all the altcoins, I have come to the conclusion that 2017 was by far the best year for crypto. Do you support this?

In terms of bullish season, yes, 2017 was the best year of crypto and the decent year of crypto people who owned potential altcoins and sold them at the higher value. Now at 2018 we are still waiting of the best market change into moon.

For me yes it's but thanks to that last best year who taught me a lot of things now. I'm one of those people who got a chance to have a huge profit but I still keep holding until now. But all of those mistakes brings a lot of lessons to me.

It was, yes. ICO numbers were huge when you compare it to the years before 2017, also there was new all-time high, and anybody would give you an advise about bitcoin, so whole new community was out there.

Sad to say I'm not belong for the bull run of 2017 but i guess that was the best year in crypto btc is rapidly high during that time, when bull happen this year this is supposedly my first time witnessing bull run but badly no bull happen this year i think.

Yes, you can compare it with 2018, I am happy to see crypto grow even though the market is always down, now ethereum is down at $ 157 and I didn't have the chance to feel beautiful when eth is worth $ 1000.now we have to be patient

Yes If we compare crypto market since the beginning we can say 2017 was the best year so far for crypto and I would say 2018 is the worst year so far for crypto market if there is no magic movement in december.

I have to disagree based on annual gains. 2011 and 2013 were both 100x gains, 2017 was only 20x to be fair.
With year on year decreasing volitility, I imagine another bull-run would be around a 5-10x growth personally.

In the both year you quoted, I think crypto was still fairly new. So come there was an 100% profit from a relatively new and unknown venture? Please enlighten me.

Indeed, 2017 was the best year for cryptocurrency, the beginning of 2018 was also not bad, but now it is impossible to look at the cryptocurrency market, everything is just worse and worse.

In terms of hype and the eventual pump in price of various cryptocurrencies, yes. But we have to take note that the market was also bloody before that last quarter monumental pump. A lot of guys got rekt and eventually quit because of the effect of FUD from the China ban.

In the case of a bullish season, yes, it's true that 2017 is the best year for crypto and the decent crypto years that have the potential of altcoins and sell them at a higher value. Now in 2018 we are still waiting for the best market changes

If you compare 2017 and 2018, I absolutely agree that 2017 is much better. There prices of most crypto currencies grew very well in 2017. On the contrary, in 2018, we experienced price reduction for months. The reduction also reached some records for the worse decline so far.

I agree 100% 2017 is the best year for crypto-currency industry this particular year has achieve all the ATH all time high records of crypto-prices and this record was hard to break in my opinion.

It has to be the best so far. I do not think we will see a $1000 increase price increase in just one day, like what happened last year, anytime soon. That was really a great pump and anyone who was able to ride it made a lot of profits.

2017 was a the unforgettable year for crypto enthusiasts. All people got much profits and earned money with proper amount in that year. I didn't join yet in 2017, I just participated in cryptocurrency in 2018. Unfortunately, this year becomes the worst year of crypto.

In 2017 Crypto experienced a very high increase. And we can see that at that time the price of Bitcoin rose very high and affected all Altcoin to increase prices. But entering 2018, the price of Bitcoin has declined and until now all the prices of crypto coins are still very low. So that 2017 is still the best.

To tell the truth, I also think so. So fa, 2017 and early 2018 is the best year ever for the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. They have the big volume and price increase every time. I also think of the participant, they are still smaller amount of the people in crypto. But, I'm sure that there will be many more people who believe that next year, will be also a better year for crypto.

You read right Annalise, it was really a great year. I believe that mist people invested in crypto this year because of what happened last year. I want to believe that the will not be this last we will see of such a year in cryptocurrency.

That is certain because Bitcoin at that time was worth around 19,800 USD.

Yes, I agree with you mate and it seem these year 2018 is an opposite situation last year. I hope by this coming year will have a better market for whole cryptos especially in bitcoin, so that many of us will get recover from losing. And also some stock ICO project will get into exchange as well.

As for now 2017 is the best year for crypto but once there will have much higher bull run in the future 2017 best crypto history will be change into the possible new year best crypto. The massive value of bitcoin is still possible to happen while investors would not get off their hands from btc.

I agree too 2017 is the year that make many crypto adopters rich, we does not see that in other years maybe in the future the market will repeat this cycle again but 2017 is still the best crypto year till now.

I keep wondering if what happened last year was just a fluke and never to be repeated? Because looking at the market course today, one will forgiven for doubting the height the market got to last year.
