Was wondering which alts do people think will survive? Which ones will gain traction when this crypto winter ends? Which ones have a use that will be taken up by the mainstream?

The alternate coins that will survive are the ones that has an aggressive circulation. Stagnant coins will just die eventually so make sure to dispose it as soon as you can. Doesn't matter if the coin is at the bottom tier as long as they are being sold and someone is buying them. That will be enough for a coin to survive.

Many alts can disappear now, and after some time they can begin to show themselves actively, it happened often, of course, many alts will not be able to recover from such a market and simply will fall in price forever.

It is difficult to tell right now because there were many altcoin with good potential and in great demand by large investors. But now a days these coins are disappear.

I believe there are many altcoins that will survive and some too will die, especially those coins that don't have any real usage.

List of altcoins that will going to survive are those coins that already have a good reputation and done a lot of achievements now like the top 100 on CMC. But it will really going to depend on how the team behind it work for it to survive it.

Those altcoins that have a good project that continues to evolve even though the market has fallen and create a real product must survive. The functionality of a coin or token is also important; in order to exist further, they must always have a high competitiveness.

Those Altcoins who have the technology behind them and are developing in their own direction, despite the red market, will survive.

My favourite altcoin is wanchain. Actually it is altcoin now, it will take etherium's throne in the near future.

I guess the top altcoins have more chance to survive. Commonly, the top altcoins are backed up with good platform, quality teams, and established technology to run them. They also have many holders and the market circulation in high volume.

For now and maybe in the future the altcoins that will survive are XRP, ETH, DOGE, but that is just my opinion, maybe for people to differrent in opinion, I say that because I often trade on these coins, and investors' interest is very high on those coin .

I agree with others in the thread, only the top altcoins will survive, very few (if any) out of the top 100 will be worth much in the future in my opinion.
I think specifically it will be the peer-to-peer currencies that will do well after the bear market, not like BCH, LTC and DASH, but more likely; XRP, XLM and ADA. I' not much of a fan of any of those, but I think they will do well, in the same way Bitcoin was initially popular for being a peer-to-peer currency. I also think ETH and some other blockchain platforms will do well in the future, but for other reasons, such as their practical applications with financial institutions. In my opinion, it's more of a store of value now, which opens the door for other projects to provide the currency & fast exchange functionality.

As for me I believe in Ripple and Ethereum. These 2 are my candidates for a good rise.
But I don't think it will happen in nearest 2-3 month. Maybe later, but it will for sure.

Many coins will continue to survive and many will disappear in the current bearish market. I hope top coins of the coinmarketcap will survive. In this dropping market I believe in XRP and on the other hand nowadays I am also analysing HELP coin that is also getting strong with very less no of supply.

When the market falls-for some reason we begin to believe in those coins that today show the smallest drop...I am sure that in the case of xrp, someone is behind this and there are a huge number of projects that, despite their cost, will now be able not only to hold out but also to become new market tops.

only a few alt survives. all alt for this year are still following the increase and decrease in the price of bitcoin. a very big effect on bitcoin.

The strong one will survive the crisis and the weak one will close shop while many will join soon so we are going to determine how market run with our use of the most strong ones.

The altcoins which were created without any solid projects will be disappear in this bear market and only coins with solid and stable projects will survive in this negative sentiment.

Actually cannot specify which coins to survive and which will fail. But the stronger coins should always survive, we can see the from their caps on market. On the other hand, the coins must have good teams and quality platforms.

Only top ranked altcoins will survive in long run. I believe bitcoin and Ethereum never die in future because maximum traders and investors like to have invested in bitcoin and Ethereum.

I agree. but why do people keep buying coins in the lower rank, because they are consistent with their targets. if they make a coin ecosystem, there will be steps that can keep the coin alive. and when they are consistent with that, the coins will be survive.

If I think maybe ethereum is still an Altcoin that will last, because of its function in addition to cryptocurrency, ethreum is also used for gas, and can be used to buy ICO, and many other functions, and ethereum is the king of Altcoin which has always been investor idol.

I believe many altcoins will survive.I think Ethereum ,XRP, monero, litecoin, stellar,tron, bitcoin cash, waves and cardano are best coins.These are best projects and reliable.Also these has a huge potential.

There are some alts that will survive all life. And there will be a lot of developed. They will not be destroyed sometime. Etherium, XRP will not be destroyed after all these coins. There are some tokens that have been destroyed and have not been able to raise their heads.
