When I entered cryptocurrency newly, I had to learn most things the hard way. Lol....once I saw a coin, liked how it looked and just bought it without further research. To my dismay, the coin dropped and has not been seen since. :( Another time, a couple of coins I got just shot up overnight, I didn't sell them when I should, I kept waiting for it to go up more but it crashed before I knew what was happening! Men dat hurt! :-\ There are a couple of others but let me stop here. What about you guys. Any mistakes to share since joining crypto?

I also experienced the same. That is what usually happens when ignorance and greed takes over. It is really a hard lesson that we have to take.
-
I think from mistakes we can use them as lessons that can be used as a consideration for the future. It feels like a mistake because you don't sell when prices soar, but it will be the second mistake if you stop and sell at a cheap price. Patience and hold, the market will definitely increase and we can make a profit.
-
I made a terrible mistake that I still regret and pinch myself till now each time I remember it.
A coin I should have sold at $600+ , I didn't sell because I was greedy. I ended up selling it $60 .
-
I made a lot of mistakes in the past , and one of them is being greedy, I don't sell thinking it will grow that was very irrational decision that I made.
-
I invested in ICO projects more than 5 times and all failed, I lost a lot of money. I worried a lot about it. But now I understand that you do not need to think about it. I gained experience and now I behave more cautiously and now do not lose my finances.

I guess a lot of us here have an experience like that in this crypto world if there are bad times there will be also
good times. Some people also have done terrible mistakes when they invested in Bitcoin when its price is soaring
so high and it looks unstoppable, an hour ago I have stumbled on a youtube video where an investor invested
almost everything he got in cryptocurrencies and he sold all his properties just to buy Bitcoin at a high price.
This kind of stories is not new in this industry and I guess the best thing we can do is to stay positive no matter
what happens.
:) :) :)

the mistake of the new crypto players is lack of mental mastery and in terms of reading situations that have not mastered it at all, better ask first or see how the details in the crypto field

my mistakes was almost the same as yours ;D but know doing so much research on that coin before investing.. it's just hurt when you loss your money in the coin that will lost its value the next day

Mistakes that you make before is not a big deal just let it be a lesson learn for you to do better in your crypto portfolio, everyone that is involve in crypto definitely will have his mistakes make at some point. The point is do they want to acknowledge it as a mistake and lear from it or blaming other on the mistake make.

I learned about the cryptocurrency market early last year. I didn’t really believe that by the end of the year many cryptocurrencies would cost so much. I think that many did not know. I have made a lot of mistakes during this time. I believe that without errors and tests in this life in any way. I think you are fine.
-
Mistakes I have made was selling my coins below the price I bought them because I was scared the price would tank further, only for the coin to do *50% the next day.
-
Nothing is perfect. Everything comes from mistakes and we will find answers to the failures that we have. Buying new coins without doing research is a natural thing. I have bought new coins and participated in Ico but the coins I have are worthless because too long to hold on to it. the opportunity does not come twice. but we must continue to learn from failure
-
my biggest mistake was a security one. I opend my NEO wallet from another PC connected to a public wifi and magically the day after my wallet was empty..someone has stolen my private key probably that PC was infected with a malware... from that day I use only hardware wallets I leaned the lesson!
-
With a proper check, the mistake I made was not reading much/making self research about a token/project. I only believed that all projects are pure, so, I just kept on working. Link platform was the token that gave me smiles in crypto space, and at that time I was told its a scrab project with no future, I listened, but I had to stay with the project till the end.

Making mistakes here and there is not something you should be scare of. I did make similar mistakes as you when market is going in my favour i hold on to my coins when i making a loss i try to double up my position and i make huge losses. After a few fatal mistakes that i make i have change myself more towards a robot with no emotions trading.

Tnx guys! its been awesome going through your replies. One thing
I think that is common to us all is that at one time or the other in
our crypto journey, we all have made mistakes that we learned
from. Mistakes will always be made but it becomes bad when it is
made repeatedly.
-
in fact we all have mistakes, but don't think too much about our past mistakes, making our mistakes a gap for us to move forward. thank you

Well many of us has made quite a huge amount of mistakes including I myself. But this mistakes had helped me learn as well

Everybody have ever made some faults when entering in the crypto world. I myself did it twice because I was panic and only following the hype. But, it leads me to learn more about the crypto and ways to earn the profits wisely and carefully. That is normal and we should take lesson from it. Crypto is precious and worthy to follow up.

Practical analysis sometimes doesn't work. Think about the optimistic sides of what you've done like you are strong because you did it even it didn't work still you are strong. Practice makes perfect and everybody do mistakes. Be patient and take time to wait more of pump.

You are not alone, there are many people who experience the same fate as you. I also when I first joined Crypto, panic sell, and the big losses I have experienced. Experience is a good teacher, don't give up and be optimistic because everything will be bright in time.
-
my biggest mistake is greed in trading, when the price has gone up high and at that time I already have a 10% profit in 2 hours but in my mind it will rise again to give me a profit above 25% in a day, but the price goes down and I lose more than 15% a day and it takes two weeks to reach the base price for me to reach BEP
-
There are also a lot of coins in my portfolio that turned out to be just useless tokens, so I began to study all the coins and their projects in more detail!
-
the mistakes I used to make:
- Gave the same password to all my exchanges, got hacked once.
- Always bought at the top and sold at the bottom.
- Didn't read anything about the market
- I was really greedy
- Bought the news sold the hype

Sorry I couldn't help but laugh when I read your post. It is very candid. I bet we can look back now at those mistakes and say, did I really do that?

So many mistakes. But as long as you learn from your mistakes... that's the important thing. I owned a ton of Ripple that I bought at half a cent. I sold at 2 cents and 5 cents... last year the price went over $3. So it could've been a massive gain for me if I'd sold at the right time.

yeah it could have been but then, it could have also been a loss had you sold at the wrong time too.
