Bitcoin RM is a 100% PoW coin featuring:

    • Unique addresses, wallet file names and port numbers
    • New Equihash 144/5 mining algorithm with custom personalization string
    • Difficulty retarget each block using LWMA2 difficulty adjustment algorithm
    • 60s block interval; Max block size 20MB; Max supply 1 Billion coins
    • Dynamic block rewards with weighted average of 400 coins per block

Bitcoin RM coins that will go to the team:

    • 1 million coins of premine (0.1% of Max supply)
    • 5% of mining block reward whenever the reward is at least 100 coins (founders' fee)
    • Unclaimed / Excess coins (e.g. Some Bitcoin holders never claim. Some users live in USA or own less than 0.001 BTC. These users are not eligible to receive BCRM coins after the fork)

Bitcoin RM plans to empower merchants and users that support small businesses:

    • Seeking partnerships with suitable crypto Exchanges to facilitate direct credit of crypto sales
    • Merchant Software (Payment Forwarder, Allocator etc.)
    • Affiliate system and supporting users who want to launch their own startup businesses
    • A dedicated Merchant Advocate on the team

1/1/2019: Bitcoin RM is conducting the world's first ever Crypto Bee Contest  ;D

The Bitcoin RM Team values teen participation in crypto industry. Teenagers are important to our community and to the future of crypto industry. While this Contest is open to anybody, we will give extra Participation Bounty of 0.01 BCRM to teenagers, just for participating in the Contest  ;D

We are conducting the world's first ever Crypto Bee Contest.

Anyone with a computer, a Bitcoin RM wallet, an email address and a Google account can participate in this contest. The contest is completely online and will be streamed live on our official Youtube channel  :)

Members of The Bitcoin RM Team and our Miners will ask questions in the contest. There are no fees to enter contest and it is open to everyone (except current or past members of the Bitcoin RM Team)

Contest will be held on December 30/31st and winners will be announced on 1/1/2019.

The Bitcoin RM Team is inviting coin teams to join its Emerging Coin Index coalition

We are launching an Emerging Coin Index coalition with 30 emerging coins, including our own coin: BCRM.

There is no listing fee to join the coalition. Membership fee for first year is waived. After first year, the membership fee is 100 BCRM/year. ECI is an equal weighted index of 30 emerging alt coins. Open to all coins tracked by CoinGecko (Coin must support RPC protocol. No tokens or derivative coins dependent an another coin's blockchain)

We are planning to create and launch ECI basket units, available for sale to anybody and publish ECI daily prices free on our website.

Initially, customers can purchase ECI units from our website. When an order comes, the individual coin teams will send their coins to the customer directly. Ultimately, we want ECI to trade on Exchanges such that customers can buy and sell ECI directly on Exchanges.

We will not be impacted if Mt Gox creditors attempt to collect fair value of their Bitcoin keys

About 1000 Mt Gox creditors (Users of Mt Gox exchange now in bankruptcy court) are planning to auction off private keys for BTC (worth more than half a billion dollars) such that buyers of these keys can claim forked coins of various Bitcoin forks. Obviously, these users will immediately sell these fork coins. This massively devalues Bitcoin forks, except our coin :smiley: Our claims processing deadline was 12/31/2018 and limited to non-US users. Therefore, these Mt Gox creditors cannot claim BCRM coins.

The trustee (acting in the interests of these creditors in this legal matter) correctly states,

“We note that the volume of each of these coins held by the Trustee, in almost all cases, is significantly higher than the global daily traded volumes of these currencies, therefore we are concerned that any attempt by the Trustee to sell them en masse on the open market would result in a downward movement of the value and also not be in the creditors interests."

We confirm that:

Whether these Mt Gox creditors resort to claiming fork coins directly or auction off their Bitcoin private keys in the open market, Bitcoin RM will not be impacted, whereas other Bitcoin forks will be impacted due to massive dilution. We have no plans to extend our claims deadline and we made this very clear in the past  ;D Eligible Mt Gox creditors could have easily filed a claim for BCRM coins before the deadline of 12/31/2018, because our claims process does not require importing or revealing Bitcoin private keys

After snapshot on August 21, 2018 00:00:00 EDT (Corresponds to Bitcoin block# 537746), Bitcoin RM was born as the first smart fork of Bitcoin on August 30, 2018 EDT [August 31, 2018 00:00:00 GMT]. It took 17 seconds to start life with new Genesis block. A total of 519678 blocks were mined before BCRM turned 1 year. The Bitcoin RM Team conceived the idea and started working on it about 1 year prior to the day BCRM was born!

We just upgraded our official pool server to a better hardware with better network connectivity. We had to do this because our last server was with a bad ISP with intermittent network problems and unreliable support.

Block# 783108 and above are all mined on new pool server.  :)

We are working on various things behind the scenes. In particular, we are working on launching a website for posting deals and news, which we think will be a great addition to the user community as well as merchants. We also acquired bitcoinrm.com domain and launching a website with this domain shortly.

Please stay tuned and thank you for your support in a time like this when so many crypto projects are disappearing completely.

This is a long waited release that adds some bridging code which will allow us to add more features later. Please download and install the software. For download instructions, see User Guide (https://www.bitcoinrm.org/UserGuide.php)  As usual, please continue to support us by participating on our Twitter, Discord and Facebook pages and mine the coin!

We also released an update to DNS Seeder and Pool software if you are running those.

We are also actively building / rebuilding our websites for both Community and Retail Merchants.

This is a bridge release. That is, it includes code that will allow us to release new features later, decentralize more and increase community participation. We also revamped all nodes, dns seeder and pool software. This will allow us to launch Ambassador program soon.
