Recently Trezor has warned its customers of a fake Trezor One whose aim by fraudsters is to steal the cryptocurrencies lodged inside. They went on to say that the only way to know the fake Trezor One is through the price. It seems the fake is cheaper than the original one.

I find this very funny because these fraudsters can change the price and make it the same as the original one and people will not know. I think Trezor has to go look for a better way to differentiate their original wallets from these fake ones before more people lost their assets to scammers.

I think that every harware wallet should be bought only on official website. Maybe you will pay some € or $ more than amazon or ebay sellers but in this way you are sure that is 100% genuine original and NOT opened box.

Hmm,, this is dubious and not easy to scale through scammers,, they need to rule out the fake and the original wallet if not no one is safe for now

So the only distinction is price? Well, what the fraudster did is unacceptable but credit to them for making it really look like the real one.
Kudos also to the legit Trezor team for issuing early warnings.

I think this is a product counterfeit and Trezor should be able to report for legal action because it harms Trezor itself and other crypto holders that they cannot distinguish between genuine or fake Trezor

Since they seem to have succeeded in their attempt against Trezor, maybe their next attempt will be towards the ledger nano s hardware wallet. To be safe, buy directly from the company and not from eBay or amazon.
