Title: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin
Post by: emma.lee1890 on December 01, 2018, 06:08:02 PM
- Despite the widespread acknowledgement of bitcoin, few respondents were directly involved with the world’s largest cryptocurrency; of those who had heard of bitcoin, 87% have had no interaction with it, which means they haven’t bought, sold, or mined bitcoin

- Approximately half (49%) of respondents said they were “Glad I didn’t buy bitcoin earlier, and I don’t plan to buy it”; 15%, meanwhile, wished they “had bought bitcoin earlier, but I feel like it’s too late now”
Relatively few people have any immediate plans to buy bitcoin, according to the survey, despite the fact that over one third (36%) of respondents believe cryptocurrency will become widely accepted

- Cryptocurrencies continue to have a stigma associated with illegal transactions, with 25% of respondents claiming that they believe most cryptocurrency transactions are for illegal purposes; an additional 19% said cryptocurrencies were used equally for legal and illegal purposes, with 17% reporting that cryptocurrencies were used more for legal than illegal purposes

- Among millennials, approximately half are interested in cryptocurrency: 48% reported being interested in cryptocurrency, with 50% claiming they were not interested

Americans may have heard of Bitcoin already but it doesn't mean they are interested to use or hold Bitcoins. Social media is very powerful and I guess the social media plays a big part in making Americans aware of Bitcoins but again there's a difference between they have heard of it and they are interested to use it or hold it.

Any source of this statistics? ::)
Looks like the widespread of news about Bitcoin is spreading and continues to grow with social media and the only
thing in here is most of the news that the media are broadcasting is really deceiving and bias against this sect of
industry. The widespread about the correct informations about cryptocurrencies is what we really need right now.

Because the millennial era updates with socila media like Facebook and Instagram to show off their wealth.
But it would be very different if the millennial child had shortcomings and immediately made money through cryptocurrency.

The survey conducted has really shown a real progress report with even the odds facing the markets at the moment. As America improves in cryptocurrency, it could still serve as a temporary measure for the global knowledge/acceptance of the bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

In America, there are many people who are not interested in Bitcoin. And if they are interested, I am sure that the market price of crypto coins will increase faster. Because we know that more American investors will make these changes with very large capital.

In my opinion, many countries also have the same, as the Americans do. They have heard about Bitcoin. However, they will respond different. Some are aware and they are involved in the bitcoin or crypto activities. And some still avoid the truth and they may be still not interested yet to join or involve in bitcoin or cryptocurrency as general.
