Title: Beaten almost to death for Bitcoins

I have posted few days before an thread about crime related crypto activity. About woman who tried to fund ISIS with bitcoin. It's a shame that this technology can be used for such a thing. But now I've read something much worst.
In South Africa, some man was invited for, via facebook, to perform an presentation about cryptocurrencies. But when he had came up, he get drugged and beaten. Robbers made him (with a help of hot iron) to transfe his bitcoins on their account, took everything what he had and left him on a street. He's still recovering in a hospital from burns. It is terrible what people can do. Please, be careful when you talk about your cryptocurrency. You never know who is listening and what he will do with this knowledge.

Developing countries are always full of thugs. When money virtual or real that have value is of interest to the thugs only you yourself can protect it from harm and no one will help you on this matter.

I agree with the author do not need to share information that you own any assets
I heard that a blogger trader was also robbed from us, $ 500,000 was stolen from him, taken away with a safe,
after a while he hanged himself
see not the whole amount belonged to him,

be cautious and careful

Unfortunate events such as this has been happening even before Bitcoin was ever created. There is always that danger when you flaunt your wealth or assets whether it is bitcoin or fiat.

really unfortunate,
in fact everything sometimes starts from ourselves too shows up with the results of crypto, to trigger jealousy and others, realize that the crime originated with myself in my opinion.

Yeah. It is sad. He probably has 0.3 BTC or something like that. Actually it is not directly about cryptocurrencies you know. But people may think different.

A sad story, because crypto is a valuable asset, it's better not to show it off to avoid unwanted events.

need to be careful, hide everything, walk without even saying and showing any asset you have. The danger is always on the side of those who have a wealth. There is a minimal risk of holding crypto rather than fiat.

New innovations in technology brings good and bad aspects. Yes it is true that bitcoin or cryptocurrency will change future like the payment system however these positive benefits also have bad aspect just like it can be used in money laundering, payment for drugs and the like.

From the story above, it was cruel that these people only took other people's property. But I don't think all countries will do that. And I have never been afraid to talk about cryptocurrency at this time.

This is a valuable lesson for all of us. It's better that we look poor but full of content rather than a rich appearance but no content. Searching for safety is the right choice to secure the assets we have.

Gosh, these crimes never end. People are greedy, and they do not care about other individuals. I think that is why many guys do not tell other ones that they have crypto.

This is a very sad story, I hope the police can bring justice to the poor fellow, this is one of the reasons that I don't talk much about my investment through friends or acquiantances, they know the valuew of Bitcoin keeps increasing and they might think you already had millions in your wallet.

Keep your assets in secret let nobody know about it indeed is correct, there's a lot of criminals out there spotting for guys with large assets to rob so be careful who you talk to online. Such a sad story for the man but I think it is just a made up story I don't think the site is a reliable source of information.

After the bloodbath and nightmare faced by Bitcoin, now it is recovering. Many people say about the death of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies some months ago or a year ago. However, now crypto world really shows its power. BTC is increasing and it hits the very good number or price.
