There s still some vulnerabilities that prohibits blockchain to be adopted by most of the individuals. Blockchain depends somehow on the miners that creates it vulnerable. if the miners are few, a lot of risk is there. thus i assume i'm unsure if blockchain will beat VISA sometime. As far as I know, there are some countries and big facilities started using cryptocurrencies and blockchain to be more transparent and secure. So, I believe we are on the start point, still.

Blockchain, is geat, because, it provides trust, in a world, with no trust. Once, information, is confirmed, it's there. It cannot be altered. Of course, we have rollback cases, but this was a decision, of a whole, communty, and not an action of a single, person, that wants to fool you.
