Title: what is the difference between cryptocurrency and virtual money?

Virtual money is more often like the paper money in difital form used to make transactions or payments online. Venmo and PayPal exist as virtual money. Cryptocurrency on the other hand is digital and decentralized asset which are more often regulated by the developer built on the blockchain. Virtual money forms the bigger picture of which cryptocurrency forms a part.
