Title: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019
Post by: yousufatik on December 21, 2018, 05:43:23 PM
Over time and technological advances in the digital era, many people have been very interested in investing some of their money in the world of cryptocurrency such as Ethereum/Altcoins. What are your plans for next year, and will you participate in the ICO?

I don't think ICOs are going to work in 2019. Unless, they are backed by other genuine projects, crypto leaders. Also, people will be more cautious in investing in projects which don't have any utility and just for speculation. Those kinds of projects have hurt the most to the crypto world.

in 2019 participating in the ICO was very good and in 2019 it was the beginning to participate in all ICOs by participating in the Bounty campaign held. This will be a long job and will produce in the next few months/years.

No one will invest in PPI as before even if a bullish trend begins. First of all, you need to restore the confidence of both ordinary people and investors, as well as reduce the risk of getting into scam projects to a minimum.

ICO or ITO during 2018 has faced its nightmare because almost 100% will be down it s price after ready on exchange. That is why, what will happen to 2019? I think that the condition will not be far from the last condition. But hopefully, this year will be better, moreover we see that the ethereum has tried to recover.

Although the ICO projects have lost their popularity due to the general fall in the cryptocurrency market and a period of protracted stagnation, however, this year the ICO will continue to work, as this activity is already difficult to stop. I think that the situation can be facilitated by state regulation of ICO activities and, above all, in order to verify and identify ICO team members, protect the rights of investors and bounty hunters, and establish clear rights and obligations of the parties.
For now, I plan to participate more in the campaigns of bounty ICO, than to invest in ICO projects.

I don't want to get an ICO in 2019 because it is risky for me.
participating in the ICO is still a difficult result is ascertained during the scam is still much going on. Perhaps if on 2019 ICO could be going well it will be a lot of people that go on ICO also for investment. currently, only investors, there have been many who may lose their confidence after many ICO falling in price.

It all depends on the kind of Ico though, but ideally I cannot participate in any kind of ico's that does not have a well defined projects, due to lack of knowledge when I came into the cryptocurrency space, I have been scammed and have learnt my lessons not to participate in any kind of ico's.

If these current state that we are having now continue to exist in 2019, then investing in an ICO will not be my first choice like it was back in 2017, it is really hard to think that you can put in your money only to find out it is frozen in some paused ICO or even in some cases ICO ended and no further development or activities, I have burned from this kind of ICOs in 2018 and I will think twice now before getting burned again.

Im currently writing my masters' thesis on the investment behavior of ICO investors.
I have personally invested in one ICO and am not planning to invest in more in the future.
It is interesting to learn about mistakes that investors make, not only ICO investors.
The whole ICO industry will change greatly in the coming years with upcoming regulation and advancements in how the companies act.

I will look at the market improvement. If crypto market get better in 2019, I may consider to participate to invest in ICOs. But if there are no big changes, I will participate in their bounty programs only. Investing in ICOs seems quite risky in bad market condition.

I still have no plan to join in ICOs. I just want to continue holding my coins and monitor the market. If the prices on market increase significantly, I plan to sell more than 75% of the total coins on my wallets. Now, I am thinking that convert them to Fiats is the best choice.

Maybe I'll settle more on stablecoin which has launch in the past I know there are perks on ICOs especially  gaining profits but I want to be safe with the other projects that already been known such as eth which is clearly a prime hot subject today due to their hardfork.

If the crypto market improves in 2019, I can consider investing in ICO. But if there are no major changes, I will only participate in their gift program. Investing in the ICO seems to be quite risky in poor market conditions.

I rather put my money in top rank altcoins like Ethereum than investing in ICOs because theres no guarantee that these projects will have a good future. It is the best time to invest in Eth while price is still low compare to its ATH. I only join and participate in bounties of ICO projects.

In my opinion, I would rather wait until the market becomes more stable again prior to make any investment on the existing altcoins. For now, I would also recommend that when you invest into ICO, just make sure that you had made a thorough research before doing the investment.

The Initial Coin Offering or ICO so far has shown the great development of the blockchain technology. It has developed for many bigger areas and fields to be offered. However, their presence is not at the right time. They are in this bearish market. So their value is very decreased. Moreover, many ICOs are dead, failed, or scams.

Many large investors stopped investing in ICO in the first half of last year. This explains the fact that most of the projects can not raise the required amount and many of them are forced to postpone the ICO until better times.

I am no longer expecting good news from ICO this year. People no longer trusts ICO and whenever someone buys them, they immediately sell them once listed on the exchange due to airdrop rewards and bounty rewards as their competition. Whats good for this year are STO which gives security and assurance.

I always try to invest in the right coin at the right time because that will be more profitable to me. We should not be in haste while trading because here in crypto market patience plays a major role. There are many existing high potential coins that can give us huge profit in long term if we invested now at the bottom of the market. Definitely I will participate in ICOs because all fingers are not same in size so whenever I will find a good project I will not hesitate to invest and I am not afraid of bearish market. My planning for this year to grow my portfolio more.

For ICOs to prosper this 2019 and beyond, they have to work on their product first before going public. In that way, investors will see that as a sign that the project is legit and the team is serious.

Yea, i think that the more crypto adoption increases, there is that tendency for ICOs to increase in 2019. Obviously, ICOs will not have an end any time soon as many people, organization, countries etc are seriously looking at the development of crypto and the blockchain tech.
I believe we are gonna see more growth in cryptocurrency in 2019 in all sectors of crypto ecosystem, like increase investment, technological advances or improvement and various upgrades etc.

I don' think that Initial Coin Offering will work in 2019, if only you find some kind of genius project with potentials, 2018's shown that investing in ICO while the market is down is not really nice idea...  Also, people will be more cautious in investing in projects which don't have any utility and just for speculation. Well to participate in ICO mostly people will be looking for much more profit rather than stable coins like Ethereum. I will invest in ICO but at the same time i will keep part of my portfolio in stable coins.
