Some people believe that the market will pump if institutional money from these so called institutional investors will come in. I personally do not think it will. You see, these investors are smart people. If they ever come to the market, they will not buy cryptocurrencies at market prices. If anything, they will try to push the market down.
-
That is a fair point you made. It is more likely that the retail investors (RI) will pump the market rather than those institutional investors since RI's are more prone to hype and FOMOs.
-
it is true that they are very clever people, and I also believe that they will not buy at market prices, and they will buy at a lower price than the market.
-
Not only "some" but many actually believe that once this institutional investors enter the cryptocurrency market, it will pump to a new ATH. I doubt that they will be solely responsible for a pump but they will have a "hand" in it.
-
One thing I have understand with investors is that they want the maximum profit as possible, they may pump the market if they should come in now.
-
I can not say confidently but they can pump up somewhat but not too much and I believe institutional investors are very smart investor they will try to buy at low price and also quit the market at the right time.
-
pump groups will make everyone panic sell. then experienced investors will buy more. when you have good coins you will get a profit. Make sure as long as you hold the coin. You can see the trading volume of the coins you p
-
Of course the can pump the market if only they are willing to do so, they are capable of doing it, but they are always conscious of what will bring good return for them.
-
It all depends on what will be more profitable for them, the fall of the entire industry or its recovery.

I would like to add, also, that institutional investors, will buy little by little, so, their trades will not affect the price of their investment asset.
-
It is known that they will do everything for their own benefit if they need to reduce the market, they will reduce it but they will also need to earn. Therefore, after a low price, they will definitely raise the price to heaven
-
The arrival of institutional investors always brings something new to the industry and it can be both the growth of the market and its decline.
-
I am inclined to believe that the arrival of investors will have a positive impact on our industry and help it rise from the dead.
-
Personally, I can't confirm that. But I believe, when institutional investors start entering the market, more or less it will affect the market
-
Investors may dump the prices to get the lowest rates or bottomed prices. But I guess they won't do that activity to all times. If you still remember the increase in the end of last year, I assume it was the pump caused by investors.
-
yes big investors are yet to come bcz of many issues.after 1st etf approved by sec market will be pumped hard.
-
I totally agree with you but don't you think that the prices are pushed down enough already! I know that there is a lot of people out there that believes that things will not start to take off until Bitcoin price reaches under $2000 again, but I think that this will not happen, a lot of coins reached their bottom already and thinking of bringing Bitcoin back to $1xxx might backfire and lead to loss of confident from a lot of parties, there is a big difference between putting a lot of pressure to force weak hands to fold and to put pressure that might lead to explosion.
-
I'm quite confident that when institutional investors will come back to crypto market there will be a big pump...the launch of bakkt could be this moment so I'm looking for the release date since months..

Are you referring to December 2018? or December 2017?
If it is December 2018, I do not think we can even call that a real pump. It is definitely the investors that caused the mini-rally but I doubt that it's the institutional investors who did it. It's more likely the retail investors.
-
Institutional investors are here for the tech especially. I don't know if they are willing to make some trade with their tokens or coins, but I know that they are going to be long time investors.

Nobody really knows what is the bottom price. Someone already pointed out that institutional investors will slowly accumulate at low prices so that they won't affect the market and I agree with that.

They maybe in for the tech but the tech means nothing if they won't profit from it. They will have to trade or else they might lose some gains.

Every time I read the prediction or news about the market pump, I think it is difficult to believe in. Why? because it has been so long about the pump market news and its bull-run, the fact, nothing happen. However, if it is absolutely true about the pump market, I will be very thankful.
-

-
Institutional investors will help the sector to develop and build the infrastructure that is so lacking now.
-
I think it would be difficult to call it even a pump. I expect such tremendous growth that even the media will not believe it.
-
Who knows what will lead if Institutional investors come to the market? Maybe they stabilize it, or vice versa will bring even more problems trying to further reduce the cost of cryptocurrency.
-
I think parts of institutional investors coming can not push down the market because there are so many institutional investors existing in the market, and they can not pump the market too for the same reason.
-
Let's hope more institutions jump in when Bakkt is released. And I'd like to see some 401K dollars go into crypto... that would bring a lot of price stability to the space.
-
The crypto market is currently quiet and all the coins are down, I don't have much to trade, I hold coins and sell them when the price is good, the right time is when everyone is confused and sells their crypto assets and I can buy them at a low price
-
I think they will bring a lot of things to this industry, namely such amount of money that we will be able to develop anything.
-
I also hope that there will be those kinds of investors.
However, it seems like different with the condition of the crypto world in the end of 2017 where there were so many new investors entering in crypto world and invest in the high amount. Now, people have understood the big risks of crypto, then, they also know the characteristic of crypto that is very volatile.
-
You understand that the arrival of institutional investors in this area will mark the beginning of total control over any activity.
-
Institutional investors I think may also do what crypto whales do. Push the price down and buy at low price then pump the market after
-
Every time when it comes to institutional investors, people start thinking about how everything will be fine and fine, but it is not.
-
I think institutional investors are still thinking that the bitcoin bubble is not finished. They may be waiting for a drop under 3000 to enter the market, and yes I think it will pump the market really hard. But not yet, we still need retracement.
-
Institutional investors themselves will increase capitalization, whether you like it or not. They'll come here and stir things up.
-
If they start entering the market and make sales or purchases with large volumes, they certainly impact on the price in the market. Because they have large funds to be able to influence prices on the market quickly.
-
It will be 100%. You understand that they will bring a fairly large amount of money to the market, which will launch capitalization into space.
-
It all depends on whether they want to come to the crypto industry or not. If they are really interested in blockchain, then it will be an easy rise of capitalization.
-
Institutional investors are generally here for the tech. Instead of pumping or dumping the price, their main focus is providing a better service or services to their customers. Apart from crypto, they are responsible for their daily customers, so they are implementing crypto and blockchain to their solutions to make them better.
