With Christmas right around the corner, crypto enthusiasts everywhere place crypto at the top of their wish lists. A recent Twitter poll by the Bank of England shows most people prefer digital currency if receiving money as a gift.

The central banks survey asks participants to choose 1 of 4 ways they would prefer to receive money as a Christmas gift with the options being cash, bank transfer, gift voucher, and digital currency.

At the time of writing, 9,693 people have responded to the survey with 72% choosing digital currency as their preferred method of receiving money as a Christmas gift. Cash is in second place with 20%, bank transfer is in third place with 7%, and a gift voucher is in last place with only 2% of respondents choosing it as their favorite way to receive money as a Christmas gift

Cryptocurrency is Popular

Though the cryptocurrency market has been in a bloodbath for the greater part of this year and has even intensified in the last couple of months, people are still very interested in crypto.

As seen in the Bank of England twitter poll, most people prefer to receive money through digital currency over traditional means of payment. Another indicator showing people’s interest in crypto is the Google trend search history, which shows search results for Bitcoin are at their highest point since the first week in April.

Therefore, though Bitcoin and crypto prices are down significantly from the beginning of the year, people’s interest for digital currencies is still strong. This suggests that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have a bright future and could potentially see massive interest and adoption when the price goes up again.

As 2018 comes to an end, there is little hope left of seeing substantial adoption and an increase in price. But many predict 2019 to be a great year for cryptocurrencies with tons of cryptocurrency developments to look forward to.

I always receive digital currency as a present. It is sad but I wish I receive a real present. I think that when you give just money as a present it is not very sincere. I always try to choose gifts for everyone. Of course, to choose the right one, you need to know the person, his hobbies and interests. But even if I don't know the person well, I try to choose something what everyone will be happy to receive. For example, gift baskets always help me in this case. I think it's a universal gift for everyone. Almost everyone likes chocolate and sweets, tea and coffee, maybe bottle of a wine. When a gift is also beautifully decorated and packed, everyone will be happy to receive it. Very often I buy gift baskets in this webstore jetgiftbaskets.com (https://www.jetgiftbaskets.com/). They have baskets for any occasion you need.
