Title: Trading when the market is down.
Post by: coinlurker on December 27, 2018, 03:49:42 PM
I see some crypto adopters start to adopt day trading due to this bear market. Since day trade or long term trade we are still in crypto so even if you make money in day trade in the end when you cash out to fiat doesn't that also means you are still losing out in the end as the price of bitcoin is still getting lower?

If you are trading a BTC/Fiat pairing, you won't be losing out.
If you are trading Altcoin/BTC, there's a possibility that you'll lose out depending on the timing of cashing out BTC to fiat.

As I understand, day trading can really give you good and fast profits but this is a very risky business. I have chosen the long-term trading as the activity that finally gives nice returns.

I would recommend trading when the market is bear and holding during bull runs. It is simple to make gains if you invest in the right altcoins.

I think that it is good to trade at both period if you are experienced in trading. A good trader can trade at all times whether bull or bear market.
I personally like to trade at both market conditions though i incure some losses and some time huge profits.i think that in every way, there must be profit and loss scenario no matter the experience.

Well, i think that they might not be waiting for cash out even they make substantial profits in day trading, they might just be stocking up on their coins so when the market is up the coins will become very valuable.

I like to trade Alt/BTC accordind to japan candles signals, but it becomes really hard with low values, so I keep skills only with BTC/USD, ETH/USD, and have just a few signals per month. But there is not so much difference in bear or bull market.

Yes you are right here. But after sell tokens to pair of ETH or BTC if you see you are in loser you should not sell in flat money. Actually all are in panic to this market and everybody will be loser at the end if market goes down.

A good trader should be able to make a profit in all market situations and traders cannot make a profit all the time. No matter how good a trader you are you will sure to incur some losses at a certain point in trading.

Trading in bear market is not totally bad idea. You can do it as long as you know the proper strategy and get right coins. I assume you can still trading altcoins, especially top altcoins. You may analyze XRP, TRX, or ADA for the coins to trade.

I don't think day trading is a bad idea with the bare market, neither is withdrawing to cash. Day traders are always with the market chart using every little positive change to make profit out of the current market situation.

With or without bear market , trading has never been a bad idea.
The challenge here is that it required all lot of skill, it consumes time and it can be very risky if not done with caution.
The price of bitcoin per time do not determibe if a trader makes profit or not from trading other alts .

Now trading on the cryptocurrency market is very unpredictable. You can earn in a falling market by opening short positions, but it is very easy to knock out short players from the game.Volatility has decreased, so I now turned my attention to traditional markets, where trade is more or less transparent.

Day trading is one that is very time consuming and demands attention greatly..
So not anyone would be able to adjust their other daily activities to roll with day trading.
That's not utting the fact that it's quite rewarding. One can still do swing trading.
