According to a recent Reddit post crunching the numbers for the latest merchant accepters of Bitcoin Cash, the number of online stores accepting BCH could be over 945 and the number of brick-and-mortar retailers around 670.

One Reddit user, likely connected with the Bitcoin Cash Association, listed the latest statistics for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) adoption from three websites. As the websites are likely to list at least some of the same merchants we’ll take the highest online and brick-and-mortar retailers as a decent indication of Bitcoin Cash adoption.

Merchant adoption of Bitcoin Cash is where it’s at. Here are the latest numbers:

We’ve got 945 online merchants listed on AcceptBitcoin.Cash.
There are 670 brick-and-mortar merchants listed on Marco Coino, which is 2 more than last week.
And you can find 939 merchants of all types on Green Pages, which is 2 more than last week.
The Bitcoin Cash Association describes itself as a “community-driven, grassroots project to accelerate the adoption of Bitcoin Cash,” it’s led by Paul Wasensteiner, and boasts Roger Ver as an advisor.

Is Wide-Scale Retail Cryptocurrency Adoption Getting Closer?

Most of the merchants accepting Bitcoin Cash (BCH) currently are smaller, independent outlets. Yet some of the larger payments platforms like Payeer, CopPay, and BitPay, are included in the AcceptBitcoin.cash listings.

Notable for brick-and-mortar retailers is cosmetics chain Lush and larger retailers accepting Bitcoin Cash do include Overstock and Newegg. Newegg and others use the BitPay platform to process their customer’s cryptocurrency payments. Retail giant Overstock was one of the first online retailers to accept cryptocurrency payments and by mid-2017 was accepting 40 different altcoins.

As payment processors like BitPay permeate the market, retail acceptance for Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is slowly but steadily increasing. Companies like BitPay optionally transfer cryptocurrency payments immediately into fiat currencies so that retailer customers can avoid crypto-volatility.

This December, BitPay CEO Stephen Pair predicted that mass cryptocurrency adoption is between three and five years away. Pair has revised an earlier prediction of full cryptocurrency adoption being up to a decade distant. He now thinks that a scenario where every store accepts “a blockchain payment” is much closer than we think.

Binance is also pushing for wide-scale consumer cryptocurrency adoption, partnering with hotel booking platform Tripio to allow its users to book a choice of 450,000 hotels and pay with the Binance coin (BNB).

I just read the article on one popular crypto website and this news seems to be the X Factor which will boost the value and price of BCH on the market. There is no doubt that the new online shops such as Payeer, CopPay, and BitPay, are among the best crypto retailers who are good in creating more awareness for BCH. This could cause a great rise in price for BCH this year.

I am the result of the persistence of Roger Ver to continue to expand BitcoinCAsh throughout the world.
This is definitely good news for cryptocurrency especially for BitcoinCAsh.

We will continue to wait for the best prices from Bitcoincash because we can't wait to trade BitcoinCash at Binance.

The obvious thing to get here in my opinion, is that BCH and the entire crypto in general is receiving a world wide acceptance by the day, and it is welcome development.

900 Retailers?
A very large number and certainly it covers the whole world.
If the world has 195 countries, almost 1 country has 4.5 Retailers who accept BitcoinCAsh.

Very good news... it is a fact that crypto is getting everywhere and people are slowly starting to use it...
As of BCH, I consider it as one of the closest coins to real money... it is the one that has most practical applications (like the ones above), and ultra fast and cheap transactions... and is scalable...so....

Thanks to post this interesting news. Adoption is the first step for a wide spread and so for a fast price increasing.
I'm very surprised by the work of Binance's team with own BNB... it was incredible one year ago!

If this is really true then probably we can hear some changes later this year. Cryptocurrency as of now is not yet so widespread that it needs more acceptance from anywhere in this world. Though popular in the internet, but people only knew about it and have never really made so much effort to use it in their daily lives.

This would be a good new for Bitcoin Cash but seem that it's not enough for Bitcoin cash to fly because the market is still bearish and even Bitcoin now is bleeding so hard too  :'(

Yes right, all coins have decreased all. and bitcoin cash was very enthusiastic to take the top position but it was difficult because the market volume was still inferior to other coin coins

But this statement was intentionally supported by market factors that are now like this.
I see BitcoinCAsh (ABC and SV) having a price decline. 900 The retailer seemed worthless if a disaster like this happened.

This is good news for bitcoin cash, because it has started to become a popular crypto to be used as a payment tool other than bitcoin. Hopefully the price will also continue to increase along with the time running.

This is an amazing news if Bitcoin cash has now accepted by 900 retailers. With this, many investors are now starting putting there investment in Bitcoin cash. I hope this news will spread thoughout the country.

The more Bitcoin Cash is accepted, the more it can rise when the market uptrend. Bitcoin Cash also pumped very high when the market moving upward too

With the increasing number of merchants and retailers who use bitcoin cash to make transactions, their popularity will increase. So that with more and more uses it will automatically increase the trading volume of bitcoin cash. Hopefully, the price can continue to increase along with the number of users.

Bitcoin cash team understands that their technologies are very in demand and therefore they constantly enter into partnership with various huge companies and are constantly developing, they also have not suffered from hardfork, so everything will be fine with them.

This is bitcoin cash and that is the real buzz behind it. I have always expected bitcoin cash to be used in mainstream transactions and that is what I see many established companies joining this innovative venture by the developers behind bitcoin cash.
