Title: All we need to know about the incoming ETH hard fork
Post by: Abiodun on January 08, 2019, 09:35:54 PM
There will be two new tokens that will be created as result  of the ETH  fork.

These new tokens are ETCV and ETN.

based on the information  read  about ETCV on their website ethereum  exchange  wallets will not receive  it.

Therefore  to get ETCV based on 1:3 ratio u need to have ur ethereum  in your personal  wallets.

Ethereum Classic Vision hard fork - January 11, 2019
A snapshot of the ETH network will be taken on January 11, 2019. ALL users who hold ETH in their personal wallets at the moment of the snapshot will receive 3 ETCV per each ETH after the fork.

Note: you must hold ETH in your personal wallet (Jaxx, Coinomi, MyEtherWallet, Ledger Nano, etc.) to get your free ETCV after the fork. Exchange wallets are not accepted!

*Note* Other  wise stated by the exchange  that they will offer it.

If ever you are going to post information like this again, please include the source or the link where you read it from. It is important so that those who read your post will also get the complete information and not just a summary from your post.

Ethereum Nowa is definitely SCAM! They are scammers. Don't wait from them anything.

There is a lot of suspicious about ETCV also. I think they maybe also another scammers! Firstly their no plan about mainnet and their teams is look terrible. And at the same time there is another fork. It is Waves fork. Almost everything is same! It may related with each other. So don't trust any other fork but Constantinapole. But Constantinapole will not create any new coins. So wait only Ethereum fork and price move.

The main up-grade Hard-fork will not result in any other tokens, there will be another 2 hard forks that will result into the coins you mentioned and I believe both those tokens are shit and scam coins I will not even bother moving my Ethereum out of exchange to get them but it is really up to everyone to decide.

ETCV is definitely scam! Admin in their chat does not answer the questions about explorer and sends everyone to the wallet site (expecting everyone would enter the private key). There was found that the script on that site collects information about the private key and sends to them. Don't send your private key there!
Also they send this message:
Quote
You can also purchase additional ETCV starting from now: send ETH to the contract address below, and you will receive intermediate ERC20 tokens (ETCV), which will be exchanged for Ethereum Classic Vision coins at a 1:1 ratio immediately after the fork, once the mainnet is launched. To buy your ETCV right now, simply transfer ETH to the contract address:
1 ETH = 50 ETCV
I cleared the address so noone could be mistaken sending there anything. But if you start own coin with own blockchain would you ask ETH that way? No!

It is definitly scam!

It is better not to enter your private key anywhere and not to trust sources that offer to get all sorts of questionable tokens on certain sites.

I ever read the information about the scam issues of Ethereum Nowa. People said that the project team members are fake. But I am surprised to know that ETCV is also scam. By these information, we only have Constantinapole as the only new real fork.

Horror. Both coins - ETN and ETCV turned out to be a fraud.
The ETN team from al required to provide secret keys to users' wallets and sent their data to a remote server.
The anonymous ICO team of the ETCV coin has already forgotten access to its official website, there is a panic in their telegram group and nobody is accusing of fraud of this coin.
Yes, the level of fraud is just going through the roof.

Constantinople is more update then fork. And yes, today we already know that ETCV is a scam because they stole all ETH from wallets which private keys were entered on their "wallet site". It is a fact, and one respected user of our forum made an experiment about it — he lost his little amount of ETH — https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=87383.msg555604#msg555604
