Title: What will happen to the ERC20 tokens when ethereum blockchain is split?

This is a question that I have not found an answer. Will this create new ERC20 tokens, that are not supposed to exist. Have there been any thoughts about this? What will happen? Will this break the whole concept of ERC20 tokens? If this a design flaw for Dapps?  I think that we have to wait and see the consequences.
