It is already here, but I don't know if it can defeat blockchain. It's called Tangle, and it is used for IOTA network. To make a transaction, you have to confirm two others. Tangle shows to be better, because every node is a transaction validator. I don't know if it is reliable like blockchain, because it has not been tested on a large scale. Although it is here. You can find out about it, it is interesting.

So far, I think that there is now other technology that can replace the blockchain system, moreover for the cryptocurrencies. However,. technology will be always developing. We cannot state that it will not change. Some day, when the people have reached its great quality, they will always develop their research and find out the latest technology to be used.

Everything is possible but many things are harder. Replacing blockchain is hard, because blockchain is cipher encryption math algorithm CHAIN that is hard to replace, and our worldwideweb is hard to replace too. You can say upgrading web foundation but not replacing, so as to crypto currency blockchain.

Hashgraph outperforms Blockchain and even Lightning Network by far.
Speed,Fairness,Security,Scalability...
Hashgraph just started,so blockchain has some years of advantage and still developing.Next few years are belong to blockchain.

Blockchain is a very advanced technology that was created to develop the system in cryptocurrencies, as the basic system. This is part of the technology development. I personally believe that there will be always development of the technology, whether it is to replace or even only develop the advanced or systems of the blockcahin.

I never hear the issues of new system to overtake blockchain. Blockchain is a new technology, I guess it still has no competitor for now. But It is possible if there is a new system in the future as the competitor.

Well there may always be things created in the future that surpass our current technologies. Or there may be breakthroughs that make us rethink what a "blockchain" even is.

I do not know when and there's no timetable but there will always be.

I don't believe of other technology that can do what blockchain system can beside blockchain itself.
Numerical methods and the binary functions and programs won't be replace rather be upgraded to develop more functions and uses to promote helpful meaning in the world. This could not just for short term goal rather a long term plan that can last enough time to change the world.

In my opinion, block chain is the future technoligy, But I think I agree there will be a new system to replace the block chain or modify of blick chain.

I think this will happen, people are constantly evolving and opening up new opportunities and technologies, we just have to wait at least a couple of years and they will discover something new, maybe they are already working on it.

Yes, other technology may come up in the future but may not replace the blockchain technology. I think future technology that may do better than blockchain is yet to come, and when that happens, there will competitions for the best among them all.

There should be OP. If not discovered yet, then it's just waiting out there to be uncovered by someone. Blockchain is still unperfect with flaws like someone can just steal ones funds if private keys has been stolen. There will be a time when nobody can steal ones funds. That would attract more people to join the new system as they will no longer get FUD.

Well, blockchain technology is difficult to manipulate, it is advanced technology, and cannot be changed. I think that technology will always develop, but I don't know whether there will be the competitor that can replace blockchain or not.

I think the future technology that might be better than the blockchain hasn't come yet, and when that happens, there will be competition for the best among them all.
