Title: Is it good to store assets simultaneously in 1 wallet?
Post by: ayatoslaw on January 17, 2019, 04:59:14 AM
I am one of the people who likes to store assets in one wallet simultaneously,
because for me storing lots of assets in different wallets just makes me confused,
only, which is a problem if our wallet is lost or we forget all of our assets will also disappear.
so we must be very careful when storing assets, let alone store them in the same wallet.

It's perfectly fine to store in one wallet.  I store in 2 wallets but I have both wallets on one wallet provider so it's not difficult for me to track

One big disadvantage is that if you make a mistake and some unknown person extracts it, you will lose everything at once, so it’s best to keep it on several wallets!

No issue in storing to one wallet as long as you have placed all the necessary security. You can also use two wallets, one for storing coins for really long term and one for coins for trading.

I keep my assets on exchanges and wallets both cold and online . I do not see the point to touch them as the market is rolling down

There is no perfect solution. If you store all in one wallet, it's simple and not confusing. If you store them in different wallets, then you have the trouble to maintain different keys, passwords, etc. With one wallet you have a high risk, to lose everything, if something goes wrong. With different wallets, you lose the funds that are in the wallet with the problem. Anyone chooses what he can handle better and make him happy.

if I myself save more assets in some wallets because it's safer and more comfortable for me. that's what I'm worried about if saving assets in one wallet is more dangerous, because I've lost my wallet.

I'm doing also like you that's why I stored most of tokens and coins in my ledger nano S... I feel quite safe with that and in this way I'm not confused anymore.

Try to store in at least two or three wallets, they can be online wallets (web or mobile) or hardware wallets. I don't think three wallets is that hard to manage. Only one wallet placed you in more risk of losing all your digital assets.

I would go for couple of wallets, no matter hardware or online. In case of emergency you will always have a "Plan B"

I don't like storing all my coins in one place, I always store every coin to the best wallet recommended by the team behind the coin/token it is not hard to store all your wallets information on an external hard or even make 2 or 3 copies on multiple USB. One wallet for all coins is usually a wallet that will not give you full control over your coins ( private keys ), I would never do that.

To keep cryptocurrency in one wallet is not the best idea from the point of view of its security and security. The risk of losing coins and tokens in this case is greatly increased. Even if you sell one of your tokens on the stock exchange, it’s not very safe to enter even the address of such a wallet and carry out sale operations. During the period of the wallet on the exchange, your wallet will not be completely safe. Therefore, it is recommended to first move the token that you are going to sell on the exchange to a new wallet and use its data on the exchange.

In my opinion, diversifying the wallet will be safer for me. I have some wallets to save the coins simultaneously.
This is why we can see if one wallet is hacked or not.
Actually, about the confused feeling or not, it will depend on our management and personality. For me personally, managing the wallet and coins are important enough.

It depends on how you manage the coins. But, storing the coins in only one wallet will be more risky than some. I'm doubt that the security of the wallets are guaranteed 100%. that is why it is better to diversify the coins in some wallets, not too much, only few wallets that we can really manage appropriately and very well.

if you properly use your wallet and your data will not be shown anywhere then, of course, it will be very difficult to hack you, but from a security point of view it is better to store all the assets on multiple media

It is not advisable to only store your coins in just one wallet, that is too risky. Think of the security first before convenience.
