Title: Can a bubble stay 10 years?
Post by: Bobcrypto on January 23, 2019, 02:14:15 PM
Guys, we have had about bitcoin bubble or that "bitcoin is a bubble" or bitcoin bubble must burst etc. The Bitcoin price has crashed more than 65% from its all-time high in December 2017 and proceeded till 2018, unfortunately, the price has not improved in this 2019 though still early.
Now, Bitcoin has hit 10years since it's inception, and my curiosity is that, "does a bubble stay longer than this 10years before it finally burst?" Thanks for thoughts

From the perspectives and views I saw from people who called bitcoin a bubble, was when the price skyroced in a very short period of time. The survival of bitcoin over the years was not made by the rise in price of bitcoin in 2017, the rise only made bitcoin to become a figure to be looked at. For me, the bubble era of bitcoin is gone, and the mass adoption of bitcoin and digital currencies is almost here.

I think so too. Hopefully from here on there'll be a gradual and steady move north.

If I look at the journey of bitcoin so far, indeed the bitcoin bubble will still be able to survive. The reason is that until now bitcoin still dominates the crypto market and has always been the idol of crypto users. Well, even though the price has dropped by more than 60% throughout the ATH, in fact Bitcoin still remains the king of crypto in terms of age and price.

Some people started calling it a bubble when the price suddenly went up to $20K from around $4K or $5K in a short span of time. I suspect any market would be called a bubble if it that happens to them also

Yes i agreed with you, the rise in bitcoin price in 2017 actually contribute to the popularity and wide stream adoption of Bitcoin and crypto in general. Obviously, bitcoin is gradually becoming a house hold name in the world and it will always improve with time.

The rise in 2017 was very significant and people were surprised with Bitcoin. After the rising, many people came and joined the activities to have Bitcoin. Now, the day has gone, and people have already known well Bitcoin. The interest to have it not really high like previous era, so I am afraid to see the rise like in 2017. It is only my personal view, you may have different views..

I think the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and fall as usual when Bitcoin in 2013.
In the past, Bitcoin was still considered crazy and strange because Bitcoin does not have physical, but it has a price.

it's not bubbles but it's like the temperature of a car's engine, there is heat and cold that always go up and down.

The concept that Bitcoin is a bubble is a clear indication that those holders of such concept lack knowledge on the basic principles on which Bitcoin works. How can a bubble last for 10 years? Which bubble never burst or shows a sign of imminent burst? Bitcoin has come out with new developments such as the Lighting Network to improve its operation and this shows that it is nowhere near death.

Bitcoin has gone from less than a dollar to almost $20 000 at one time. If bitcoin was a bubble it would have busted in last year bearish market were many were sure that it will be less than $2000. I do not think abubble can stay up to 10 years before it bursts so in a nutshell Bitcoin is here to stay and cryptocurrencies are the future of money

If bitcoin was a bubble, it would have burst long ago and not lasted 10 years.Bitcoin continues to live and develop introducing itself into everyday life.

From my analysis it is wrong to call bitcoin a bubble because bitcoin is not one of such. Bitcoin is waxing stronger this year, it is just a matter of time it will reflect in the coinmarketcap, Since most people are using high price to judge it strength.

i think 10years projection is too long  and i believe 1 or 2 years from now bitcoin will fully recover considering that bitcoin is very stable in terms of market capitalization and it also holds as with the highest market value in crypto currency market.

I do not think Bitcoin is a bubble !!! Many called it a bubble due to a sharp rise in price, then the bubble should burst and a sharp decline should occur after which the whole end. It was but the end did not come, it means that Bitcoin is not a bubble. To this day, Bitcoin holds the highest position on the cryptocurrency market. And if we say that Bitcoin will end its existence in a few years, then the entire cryptocurrency market will die with it.

I don't think bitcoin is a bubble, and the decline occurs on every crypto coin because of deteriorating market conditions. I don't think bitcoin will end and I think bitcoin will last longer.

Bitcoin is really a bubble that costs exactly as much as the money supply is invested in it, but it is distinguished from a conventional bubble or pyramid by technology that is fully capable of settling down in everyday life, therefore it will be here like that!
