Title: I Prefer a Hodler instead of Cut Loss, How about you?
Post by: ayatoslaw on January 27, 2019, 03:19:57 AM
I am one of the HODLER investors, but I have never shouted at a forum when the market was down,
even though it's normal, but I never did it and always calm down with what I did,
as I now invest in several coins, and the price has fallen more than 65% of the initial capital.
and until now I remain calm because I always believe that the market will come back again.
Then how about you?

If the loss is too big then I just hold it in my wallet. This is the irony of crypto currwncy, we can't see what will happen next. If I can just sense it surely I will cut the losses to further decrease my investment. Holding are just for the newbie, its stagnant and boring, it does not gives excitement to the holders.

I agree with you going up or down in cryptocurrency is common, many people panic and hysterics when the market is down, actually we don't need to panic, because panic can harm us, stay calm when the market is down is wise

So am I mate,  I also hold my ethereum and bitcoin.  I am waiting the bull run now.  Hold is better than cut loss. I believe  It will rise again soon.

Me too. If I invested into a project that I believe, there is no reason for me to cut the loss. I'd invest more.

Sometimes, it's good to have both. Cut loss in one part, and hold another part. This gives you the flexibility to buy lower, with the cut loss part, and if it goes higher, you  can profit, from the held part.

I like your answer. It should depend on the situation, for the promising coins to increase soon, it must hold longer. While coins with bad future, I think it is better to cut loss. I don't think to keep longer coins potentially decrease more.

If you don't have a lot of experience with buying, you will definitely be the best choice. At this point, the price should be set to the point you set.

Yes,  I also prefer a holder instead of cut loss.  I believe the crypto price will rise again.  It will be more valuable  and stable

For me, it's better for me to sell my coins and buy them again at a low time, if I wait for the coins to come back again when I buy, it will take a lot of time, and we will lose our time trading. I better cut it to be able to return to trading again.

If I personally better sell and buy it again from the bottom, we will not know when the price of the coins we buy back at the original price, instead of waiting for the uncertain it is better to cut and trade again from the bottom

being quiet and monitoring the market is better than shouting in the Forum  because it doesn't change things.
all decisions are in us, dare to get to know crypto we are also ready to accept the risks from crypto itself

I also choose to be a holder, cutting cost now is a bit too late to do now. Cutting your losses now will make a big damage to your portfolio might as well hold on to it to wait for market to regain its posture.

Yes,  I think hold is the best way to reduce the loss when the price is going down.  I prefer to do that.  Because  I believe crypto will have good future

Are you still liquid enough to buy cryptocurrencies at low prices?
At this point, the market, I believe, is already at the bottom and cutting losses now is not the best option. If you ever plan to keep on holding, just make sure you are holding a quality coin or token. You do not want to get stuck in a dead one.

I am also a tipical HODLER... for me cutting loss would have to be out of necessity or some special case, because otherwise I would be loosing money instead of having an investment. I believe it will be a matter of waiting the right moment as the market moves in waves and cycles, and as such, the profit will surely return.
One could argue that if takes a long time for the cycle to return, there are a lot of good profitable things you would be able to do with your money in the meantime (even cutting the loss)... I guess it depends on the type of personal choice

For me, the opposite is true, I better sell than the price continues to fall, and buy again from below, because fluctuations in crypto are very high, so the possibility of buy below and sell above is very high, even if we dump our coins but we will get them again from repeat trading.

Wait, don't rush to sell your assets. indeed the crypto market situation is currently less promising, but anything can happen in the crypto world and maybe in the next few months or years the market will be excited again.

Everyone chooses what to do, of course, there are times when you need to sell your tokens even if the price is low because any company can turn into a scam anytime, but usually you need to hold and wait when any token will start growing.
