About Raptoreum

Raptoreum is focused on solving real world problems through innovation and Blockchain technology. We have real world use cases out of the box and will continue to expand on Raptoreums uses on a continual basis through continued innovation and development. Community driven, grassroots, and adhering to Cypherpunk principles, Raptoreum is your coin, your neighbours coin, everybodys coin. No corporate funding, no corporate direction, and that will never change.

What Problems Is Raptoreum Solving?

1.) The ability for anybody to easily create a digital token / asset that is non-fungible, uniquely named, and not easily destroyed by accident, unlike ETHs ERC-20 for example. (inherited from Ravencoin)
2.) On chain trustless and automated exchange of assets and RTM VIA smart contract layer.
3.) ASIC and FPGA resistance through our GhostRider algorithm.
4.) 51% / double spend protection through Prysm ( a system we are developing).
5.) Allowing the power of the asset platform to be utilized by DAPPS (smart contracts).
6.) Protection against Masternode network consensus manipulation.
7.) Scaling issues caused by smart contracts being built into blocks (think CryptoKitties) (we use Masternodes for this)
8.) Encouraging mass adoption through ease of use not only direct through wallet but DAPPs.
9.) Removing hyperinflation issues due to coins locked in Masternodes, custom tiering system for rewards and collateral.
10.) Safe OTC trading of coins and assets. Our bot will be available in Discord to provide a safe OTC escrow service.

Masternodes

Masternodes are used to handle smart contracts, and provide 51% \ double spend protection through "Prysm". In addition this allows:

- Larger allowed contract size
- Greater variety of programming languages can be used
- Removes the scaling issues and large increase in gas tx fees, such as are caused by large DAPPS (think CryptoKitties)

Thank You

I want to give a huge thanks to the devs at Ravencoin for doing what they do, without them this project would never happen.

It is stated that you provide no ICO and no Premine. Well, is this your strategy to optimize the potential value of your tokens (RTM)?
And to ensure the sustainability, do you plan to build a community to support your project? I think it is better to build community by involving people on your project promotion.

Raptoreum itself is not a token, it is a mineable (POW) Cryptocurrency which features an asset layer that allows for easy creation of assets / tokens. We are a fork of Ravencoin and so inherited the asset layer which we are expanding for greater flexibility and utility.

Again RTM is not a token it is a mineable (POW) crypto currency that includes an asset layer. Our strategies are making the assets as easy to use as possible. I believe the biggest single barrier to mass adoption is ease of use followed by understanding. We just published this which hints at one of the things to come:

We are constantly reaching out to small companies especially artisanal companies and educating them on how RTM can further and enhance their business. We are also working with multiple larger businesses and corporations on possible use cases.

The project is community driven and we are constantly building our community which is already larger then some projects that have been live for months. Not huge by any means but steadily growing
