Title: Why a lot of bounty hunters dislike KYC ?
Post by: Jee on February 08, 2019, 11:36:23 AM
A lot of bounty hunters ask the bounty manager and the team of the project if kyc needed or not.
Why they ask about that?
Do you think it is good for projects and for bounty hunters to implement KYC.
What is the advantage of KYC for both.
I like to know from all and thank you in advance.

I would say those who are afraid to provide KYC should not join such bounties who asked for KYC but KYC is not demanded in every project. It is demanded in certain project where project manager has to comply its country norms and condition So they ask KYC to fullfill the requirements on the other hand it is good to eliminate the scammers from the projects because I have seen in many bounties scammers join the bounty campaigns from other person details and sometime they get successful to get reward.

Kyc implementation by projects is good as it would have reduce the incidences of using Cryptocurrency to carry out criminal activities.
But expecting bounty hunters go submit their valid details because of rewards that may not even be enough to buy a good candy is annoying.
Very annoying.
Kyc should be specifically for people that invested above $5k.

I think Kyc for bounty hunters reduces cheating numbers of participants when following bounty campaign (can cheat multiple accounts or use someone else's account)

I for one dislikes kyc too as a hunter.
It is ridiculous to expect a bounty Hunter whose reward is less than $50 to submit his passports or other valid means of identification documents .
It's annoying.

I think why a lot bounty hunter dislike KYC:
1. KYC is misused for lending funds to a bank or loan application.
2. KYC is misused to make fake passport #moderation s or identities.
3. KYC is misused to increase the number of members to become many members in fake comunity.
4. The KYC is most misused if it is registered with members of the terrorist or crime mafia.

I dislike doing KYC on bounties, most ico's now a days are scam and doing KYC is something that's very dangerous the project managers might end up scamming and stealing people's identity, which is the real reason why most bounty hunters dislike doing KYC's in bounty project.

Because this is an additional problem for bounty.Because sending out your personal data to earn some $ 5 from bounty is nonsense.Because you never know how and where your personal data and documents will be applied. You may resell them and they will fall into bad hands. I do not take part in the bounty where they require KYC

I would agree with last poster there, it's complete nonsense to be real. To change something to anything which costs very few things. I do not understand how people can share something very private to them to earn few bucks here and there.

Many of the logic behind the heads really immediately ask the ICO teams and the ICO bounty manager whether the KYC will be checked and if the board is in the affirmative answer, leave this project. This is an additional and not very pleasant procedure that the ICO team often uses in order not to pay the earned tokens. In this case, the payment of tokens is delayed for six months or more. Who might like it?
