Today, Monday, Feb 11, Ethereum has recovered its #2 position on Coinmarketcap, having surpassed XRP. As of this writing, it's market cap now stands at $12,774,971,783 with market value of $121.88
Ethereum's platform is used by a wide variety of ICOs these days. It's smart contracts capability is 2nd to none. Many corporations, as well as business houses, are taking advantage of these capabilities in order to create their own products as well. Ultimately making Ethereum more popular and gain more movement thus increasing the price in the long run.
Naturally investors have been intrigued as to the sudden coin spike in market cap value. Are you?
Some experts have assumed that two tweets caused ETH’s market cap to rise. The tweets were written in response to questions directed at Vitalik Buterin about what constitutes a megatime success and what dApp has shown a real long time use case. Vitalik answered “BitTorrent” to both questions.

Yup absolutely agree, price of a certain coin/token is mostly affected by hype and their developments. But I think that ethereum really deserves the no.2 spot and he proves that for a very long time.

Very good, that's what I always want to convey to developers and members of the ethereum community and members of the crypto community.
I have been waiting for this coin to be the best after Bitcoin, when ethereum wants to do hardfork then they postpone it, I am still patiently waiting for what will happen after this. There will be many surprises at ethereum prices in the future

we can even see $15 for eth on price charts. Technically it's possible. But such a low price will be available minutes or seconds-)
So my advice: don't use margin when you are buying eth for $50-$170.

I think increasing of ETH is because it will have an upgrade on hardfork at the end of this month, so many people started to buy ETH because many people's hope the the price will higher soon and make large profit.

Yes I believe it because Ethereum dumped more than bitcoin, Ethereum dumping 13 times before and bitcoin dumping 6 times than before 2017...so market must increase in running year 2019... Don't fear in present situation Ethereum will arise soon and already keeping its price rising

This go up of ETH is stable than the other up when it can hold the support line at $120 really good, any attempt trying to go lower always bounce back

There is no doubt that ethereum will be the top trend crypto this year and I am also positive that it will be a top gainer this year which I think it will be near or overpass its ATH with its developments and popularity I am really confident.. I don't think so.. No one will ever replace a PIONEER ... just like ETH it can never replace BTC.. Yes it can be a better version but it will never replace those who is already established a name and in addition JPMorgan is not a cryptocurrency..

We cannot foreseen things beyond us. There might have unforseen obstacles to occur. Prediction to sell ethereum by the people is questionable because of lose profit that they didn't expected.

I believe this sudden rise to ethereum is due to upcoming Constantinople hardfork by the end of this month and I believe this time hardfork will be done that's why ethereum start rising again. If constantinople happen ethereum transaction speed will be very fast as well transaction cost will be quite cheaper than before too.

Ethereum is a coin that has a large community and trust. So it is not surprising if Ethereum returned to second place Coinmarketcap. This will continue and overlap between Ripple and Ethereum. But this time Ethereum will be in position 2 longer than Ripple.

But what has sparked this sudden rise in the stocks? Many have pointed out that the words of Donald Trump, the US president may have been a factor as he pre-emptied his trade talks with China claiming they were reaching a conclusion in a tweet.
This certainly caused a spike for the crypto market especially as news outlets began to say that the talks were positive.

Not necessarily. I would definitely agree with you if there's going to be a free coin as a result of the hardfork but Constantinople is different from other hardforks.
It is more likely that people are buying while ETH is cheap in anticipation of the upcoming Ethereum 2.0

I think it is not a sudden rise. We already know that there is a Constantinople project for ETH new hard fork. I think it is one of the cause to bring the rise on ETH price. I assume people still believe in Ethereum for its next improvement as the biggest altcoins platform.

Yes, that's probably the reason. Some are doubting the upgrade but I also think many more have placed their hopes that the platform will improve significantly.

Perhaps, because of their new updates on to their myetherwallet website which is more secure than before. It helps to get more attention to some investors and will try to invest again to them that might definitely the reason why the price of etherium was suddenly rise in an instant.

I am doubt about sudden rise. It should not happen because we need something to cause the rise. I just think the rise is commonly caused by the demand or positive news. These factors influence the price of Ethereum on market, but the influences cannot be sudden to come.

i do not supprise about this, the hard fork of ETH will happen soon, so the price pump and get high price, i think the price of eth will be higher after hard fork, this is a possible thing
