As we can see 2018 is not a good year for bitcoin as well as other token also some are saying that this year bitcoin will never cross 20k on the other hand some are saying that it will cross but what you think about it ?

I think it is unlikely that Bitcoin will get back above $20,000 this year, simply because of the ongoing lack of confidence in the market, but reasonably confident that it will start to move up in that direction over the year. Another year is a lifetime in cryptocurrency and adoption/awareness will have grown by then, so hoping that the inevitable drop next year will not be as drastic. Still glad I got in late last year, even though the price has dropped again, the extra few months of experience have helped a lot. There will be some huge winners this year, but your guess is as good as mine which ones they will be. I am happy to hold my Bitcoin and gradually build up my portfolio in a few other coins.

There's still a posibility that it will cross 20k this year, remember that last year the price is just about 2k by midyear and crossed by 20k by november. This times we can't expect it to rise by 20k but it may by november again. I hope it will.

as my analysis telling me that it will jump on 20 k in this year

people are in panic mode to sell there bitcoin now

i think this year Bitcoin will not reach 20K. And there is a clear reason for that. Prices can not go up vertical forever. First of all let understand why it was near 20K in End of 2017. That is because of huge hype and false hopes of prices going up forever. Many of those who wanted quick profits that is November and December bitcoin buyers have burned and lost now. They will not return. Only possible if blockchain in general is gold with great products. Another option is that new investors join the game. Else i would put max on 15K.

A lot of the huge bump bitcoin got back in Q4 of 2017 was due to entry of the public, IIRC several ETFs were even formed and traded back in August/September. Just like with stocks, media outlets With positive news caused a influx on entry. Now we have a lot of negative news, especially with regulation it’s tough to see BTC from trading anything but sideways until we get some good news.

Maybe. Because bitcoin now is gaining more popularity and all people curious about it so they will invest and the value of btc will up to $20k its not impossible.

McAfee predicted that this month of June bitcoin will reach the $15k price and will dip in July.
My point is this, if bitcoin has a chance to reach $15k in this early stage so i believe the chance to reach $20k before the end of this year is possible.

well, with bitcoin you never know... it is possible that it goes over 20k, but it is also possible that it will stay on the actual trend for the whole year...
it is consolidating and stabilizing... it seems probable that after this phase it goes up... let's wait and see ;D

I think bitcoin need some more time. Right now there is still huge FUD everywhere. Even though we dont encounter so many bad news, we dont see any steem. There are some little bull and bear traps. Maybe a couple of months more.. Some FOMO news can be great. Such as `Apple supports Bitcoin officially`, not sure if that will happen soon. But those days will come... 8)

Hopefully, there is a miracle so that bitcoin able to grab these prices. but it might just happen to see the opportunities that exist, hopefully, the price continued to rise until the bitcoin reaches maximum price so that we could feel the great harvest.

I think we double top this year at 20k but the fall wont be as long as last year, and we go towards 50k in 2019... we'll all be happy but mcaffee's member wont be happy :(

I think it may just happen. bitcoin can touch the price at the end of the year 2018. for now, it is still stable at bitcoin $6000. remain optimistic for the success of the bitcoin.

I thought so too. Now is a good opportunity to buy the dip when others are fearful and some are losing hope. Bitcoin may or may not cross $20K this year but there is a higher possibility that it will be higher in price in the coming months than what it is now. If ever a catalyst would trigger the price to moon again then it would be better.

as what you said Y2018 is not a good year for the cryptocurrency as we had feel the pain in a long bearish market situation plus to add those bad news that creates panic on weak investors. It's a tough year even if we are in September I feel that we can't make it to hit the all time high. Although we are still doing good even if we had those series of setbacks. We just need patience to wait until the recovery of the market to turns in a bullish trend.

Seeing the market conditions, i don't think we'll get anywhere near 12000 dollars, forget 20k. Market has been bearish throughout the year and we sill don't know when this trend will be broken.

I don't think it will happen. The way it behave these past days I doubt if it can even touch the $10000 level before the year ends.

Now bitcoin price is among $6500- 6800 but bitcoin is already dropped $5000 in this year although now in cryptomarket situation bitcoin is doing very well because it is surviving this dull situation so everything is possible in cryptomarket therefore BTC will reach$15000 this year .

$20k for bitcoin this year is not possible because the possible reason is the huge hacked exchanges in Japan.

That's right, I think $20k is too big for Bitcoin to reach that level. Perhaps $10k or less is my guess.

The upward trend may start in November and December, but it seems really difficult that bitcoin will cross 20k this year. That would be nice if it cross $ 10,000 first.
