JP Morgan has recently announced that they will launch a stable coin (JP coin).
This bank's turnover is about 6 trillion US dollars. I am afraid that its coin will become #1 coin and move bitcoin out from the first position.
-
A stable JP Morgan coin can compete only with other stablecoins, such as Tether, TrueUSD, Havven, Basecoin, and others. I believe that the emergence of JPCoin will increase interest in cryptocurrencies and increase trading volumes, which will have a positive impact on the entire crypto market.

I agree, it will become a competitive stable coin, which is a bear market will grow exponentially, as has been the case with TrueUSD, USDC, PAX etc. However in a bull market it will suffer, as the value of cryptocurrencies is the decreasing rate of inflation as well as fixed supply, which the JPM Coin like all other stable coins do not have. We haven't even seen these new stable coins react to a bear market for the US dollar, but I can only imagine it would be pretty.

I think someday stable coin can be no 1 in CMC if the market no more bull run. Non stable coin can be collapse and changed with stable coin. I think is not JP Coin wil be number 1, but other famous stable coin like tether
-
A popular and accepted stable coin will support Bitcoin, as Tether made Bitcoin greater year ago. So don't worry, Bitcoin is our King and King can't be replace!
-
RIPPLE will die after JP coin launch because it will not be needed.
-
I have not read much about it yet.
Will the JPM Coin be publicly traded?
I first thought it will be in competition with Ripple and not BTC.
-
I doubt that very much, bitcoin still has very strong support and it seems to me that even if it happens it will be a very useful rivalry!
-
Bitcoin has a very large number of communities, the high number of requests makes BTC has a high price, I'm not sure the stable coin will shift the position of Bitcoin in the first rank, but we can see Satoshi Nakamoto is still there and will create a new surprise. ;)
-
nothing can shift the position of bitcoin because all coins set at prices with bitcoin are not possible in my personal opinion
-
JP Coin is more like a stable cryptocurrency for banks' use. It may dominate other stable coins like Tether but I don't think it will come close to challenging Bitcoin and other major altcoins like Eth. Maybe it will pose a threat to XRP.
-
for all i know, his coin is a shit coin. people will invest and sell it back same way other good projects were destroy by people like him. he should have invested in one of the new project rather than launching his own.
-
JP coin will expose mainstream society to the use of cryptocurrency and will give bitcoin more exposure. I do not think that the JP coin can replace the bitcoin. No coin will for now.
-
I don't think so. Every cryptocurrency coin, has it's place in the crypto world. JPCoin, will help, users, that need big companies, to trust. It will help more people, to get used to cryptocurrency.
-
I don't think JP coin is possible to do it because Bitcoin still the number 1 anyway with a highest volume and influence in this market. JP Coin can do it best and get in the top ten ranked I think
-
i don't think it will be replace bitcoin position bitcoin will be stay on first position JP coin may beat ripple or other centralised coins
-

He wants his name on a coin. He's not going to let some new project use his name.
-
It's impossible to beat Bitcoin, what else is this stable JP Morgan coin. LOL
Try to think about seeing a USDT coin from a stable USD and this is a form from SD, but just can't beat Bitcoin.
It's okay if everyone also creates an altcoin including JP Morgan and it doesn't violate the rules as long as it doesn't end with SCAM.

Yes. centralized coins, might have a problem. Most crypto coins, are decentralized. I see no impact on Bitcoin, or other major coins.
-
I don't think it's easy to shift the bitcoin position from the main sequence, because I'm sure it's not that easy to defeat Bitcoin.
-
Nah, this coin will be using only by banks, even someone from JPMorgan said so in one of interviews. It is made to make transactions between units in their system faster.

This is good, because, their transaction fees, will get lower, so they can have lower commissions. I don't hate banks, I just want to have alternative choices.
-
Why would JP coin destroy Bitcoin JP coin is just a form of stable coin same as Tether etc they can't compete with Bitcoin since they 100% centralized and logically they are not a Cryptocurrency they are just a digital currency to ease the use of real $ transfer.
-
JP coin is a stable coin so I think it won’t affect Bitcoin but instead of that, it can help the market to have more fund join in
-
I think even though JP Morgan slides its own coin and is good, it won't be able to destroy Bitcoin, because we know the greatness of Bitcoin and public trust in Bitcoin.
