It looks like the FBI has noticed growing attention about cryptocurrencies and it is starting to react on it. One of its employers warned in an anonymous interview about ICO scams. For me, the FBI's interest in ICO may be a beginning of more considerable US action against it.

After the increasing number of complaints from victims of ICO scams, it is only a matter of time for authorities like FBI to take a deeper look into the industry. Soon, we may see more law enforcers that are also blockchain/crypto experts and that's kinda cool.

They already have SEC for this.

Maybe because there are so many ICO projects that are scam, it makes the attention of the FBI. If given a special regulation that handles ICO, it might be better to maintain the security of investor funds.

FBI just warns everybody to be careful with scams, and I don't see a clue of more strict regulation there. It is no problem with the regulation, and I think regulation is considered by another authority.

FBI is not interested in cryptocurrency according to what you posted and am sure they have been aware of it. Another point is that the news is not official because FBI will not anonymously send a report. Also, it's just a warning and has nothing to do regulations or mass adoption

A serious statement, most likely in America it will become even more difficult to launch your ICO, but on the whole they are right, because among the ICO, the absolute majority are scammers!

I do not usually open links to a posted website here. That was probably a clickbait to drive you to their own website ;D
