In his recent interview with Yahoo Finance, Alex Ohanian said that the bear market has contributed to the elimination of speculators, while true crypto believers have stayed to build real crypto infrastructure.
“Now, it's still to be seen. But what's a strong signal to me is still some of the smartest people I know in tech are working on solving these problems. They're building companies that are built on blockchain. The hype is gone. The fervor is gone. But I think that's a good thing.”

I concur with his statement. While I feel bad for those who lost a lot, I believe the market needed to be "cleansed" of all the hypes and, hopefully, all the scams. The market needed to mature before it can go forward.
Thoughts?

He is correct. I think it is no secret now that the bear market swept a lot weak projects and weak hands.

It's interesting to see how these "big players" are finally coming out to support Bitcoin. It almost seems like they refrained when they believed BTC was still overvalued over $6k, but are now stating their support for crypto while the price is around $4k at a fairer value. Either that, or the media ignored them before.
This month alone there has been executives from Twitter, Tesla and now Reddit talking positively about crypto. Who will be next? Samsung, Google?

I doubt that the media would ignore such high profile investors. They probably held themselves from commenting when it was overvalued to avoid the bashing.

Samsung already has its phone that supports BTC/ETH.

What Alex said is quite true. Bear market contributed to lessen or even to make speculators be eliminated. There were many people leave crypto during bear market. Only people that really believe and know about the future of crypto well, can survive till now.

Or, as what some have been speculating, they are already done or alsmot done with the buying. The next stage is help increase awareness and bring back the trust in Bitcoin.
