The price of eth drop more than expected dut to the drop of btc.
What do you think is thier a chance for eth to stop following btc and pump before btc.
-
I think ETH will follow Bitcoin price for long time. I still don't see a chance of ETH to not follow BTC in the near future. It is because of the influence of BTC as the main crypto coin. It is also the main pair of crypto exchanges till now.

scam ICOs play a rule in ETH price, but now is the right time to invest. The ETH future is like bitcoin and I think they will pump together.
-
Ethereum will continue to follow bitcoin for a long time, I don't see it stopping anytime soon. Its price is dependent on bitcoin price for now, maybe in the future but I doubt.
-
Althugh ethereum is the king of all altcoins but I believe it will continue to follow bitcoin because I feel all the coins are depended on btc. Might be sometime it can rise without following btc but most of the time it will follow btc. Btc still plays the major role in deciding the value of all altcoins.

The price of eth drop more than expected dut to the drop of btc.
Expected by who? And how much should the drop be? Can you tell us more about that?

Ethereum, like other types of cryptocurrency, will follow Bitcoin in price movements as long as Bitcoin continues to maintain its high level of capitalization. I think that the time will come and Bitcoin will stop exercising price dominance over other types of cryptocurrency in this regard. The price of cryptocurrency will level out over time and as a result, several coins with high functionality will be in the lead at once. Then there will be no such dominance and the cryptocurrency will be able to develop freely.
-
The possibility of Bitcoin price domination over other types of cryptocurrency gives it its high level of capitalization. As long as his capitalization is much higher than the capitalization of other coins, until then he will dominate the price. I think that over time, the bitcoin capitalization will fall, and several coins will catch up with it at once. Then such domination will cease.
-
I don't think that can, because Ethereum now depends very much on the price of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is too dominant in the market and a frightening specter for altcoins when prices drop.
-
i think its not yet the time for ethereum to walk alone in the market. The influence of bitcoin in the whole cryptocurrency is undeniable. For so many years now, this is the trend and the usual movement of the market. ethereum may walk alone in the future when btc gone in the marketplace. As long as bitcoin is there to lead, they all follow.
-
Almost all altcoins depend from bitcoin, and this concerns ethereum too, I don’t know why the cryptocurrency market works this way, but we cannot do anything about it, something may change in the future, but for now, unfortunately, we work with what we have.
-
if we take a look of bitcoin continue it's dominant of all altcoins is undoubtedly and undeniable ,as a leader of crypto and once called leaders there's are also followers this is what happened btc leads and altcoins follow including ethereum will not stop following btc.sometimes btc fluctuate and others coins not following but btc still has big rules in happening of value of all coins.
-
Seeing the value of ethereum which is only running in place, I think it's true that ethereum stopped following bitcoin. I think it is indeed difficult for ethereum to follow bitcoin. I was surprised, why the crypto market seems to be on its own.
-
ETH can stop following BTC but it need more time, in the future when the market stable and the technology go well, i think ETH can grow by deveploper and community and worse influence by BTC
-
Even I will write for this thread title and editing it to "ETH must always follow the price of Bitcoin". LOL
It seems that Ethereum can't move on from the strength of Bitcoin, which is why I want to change the thread title of this thread to be like that. Cheerss! :D
-
It seems like at this time ethereum still continues to follow BTC, even now when bitcoin is pumping up the price of ethereum also follows it. Maybe this is good news for most people.
-

It did not last long. Now, as always, Ethereum is following Bitcoin. I guess that this situation will continue for years until BTC remains a leader.
-
Ethereum will always follow Bitcoin since it is the leader of the pack. It is the first cryptocurrency invented that pave way for other cryptocurrencies. The value of Bitcoin determines the price of altcoin for now.
-

-
It obvious that at the moment of the current crypto developments, ethereum and many altcoins will follow Bitcoinn in coin prices. All coins are all paird to allmost Bitcoin in various exchanges, and being the first coin, it has this advantage. I think with time, say in the few years from now, this supremacy might change.
-
Ethereum will follow the bitcoin price movements as long as the bitcoin maintains its high level of capitalization. The difference between the bitcoin capitalization and other coins is so big that while the ethereum coin has no chance of avoiding the price domination of bitcoin.
-
BTC price increases always have a positive impact on Altcoin price increases, but when the Bitcoin price drops, altcoin prices will also drop. Crypto investors always see BTC prices when trading, because all altcoin sales pairs are always with BTC
-
Right now, ethereum is still moving in bitcoins shadow. It won't stop following bitcoin at least for now but maybe in the future it might but I doubt. Bitcoin price is very influential on ethereum price, in my opinion it might end up failing if it stops following bitcoin price movements
-
until now ethereum has indeed followed the movement of bitcoin, and I think it will be very difficult for ethereum to overtake the bitcoin pump.
-
I have no idea about this. I think ETH will always follow BTC. As long as BTC becomes the main coin in crypto space, it will be lasting.
-
Not just Ethereum, all the subcoins will continue to go after Bitcoin. Adjust your positions accordingly.

Not just Ethereum, all the subcoins will continue to go after Bitcoin. Adjust your positions accordingly.
Over time, the level of Bitcoin capitalization will inevitably fall, while its price dominance will weaken. If Bitcoin is as poorly improved as it is now, after a while it will lose its leadership in cryptocurrency. The market will not stand still, it develops very quickly. That cryptocurrency, which stopped in its development, will inevitably be behind.

It is possible that the dominance of Bitcoin will weaken over time and the altcoins will start to grow and with them Ethereum will start to grow. But due to the slow development, Ethereum may give up its position to competitors who have recently shown better results in terms of development and growth in popularity.
-
BTC is the parent of all Cryptocurrency that exists today such as Ethereum. And many of the prices of all Cryptocurrency depend on Bitcoin. And that's not just Ethereum. Price Ethereum will always follow BTC, if BTC goes up the price of Ethereum will also go up and vice versa. But this does not mean Ethereum is a weak coin, but this is already reasonable, that every existing Altcoin price will follow the price movements of Bitcoin.
-
When BTC dominance goes below 20% (which never happened) solid coins like Ether may gain their freedom. Most coins have ether trading pairs in exchanges, all we need is low btc dominance (I expect this to happen in 2021 bullrun)
-
Sadly we may not see the day ETH becomes independent on Bitcoin. Those days were the days ETH were used to carry out ICOs in 2017. Now that the ICOs are gone and replaced by IEO, ETH becomes unused. No demand hence no price increase. Being an ordinary altcoin, ETH's price will strictly affected by bitcoin price.

Ethereum and other altcoins depend on Bitcoin. Probably, everything will be changed in January-February 2020, when Ethereum 2.0 is launched. However, I doubt it. BTC dominance is too high.

The price of eth drop more than expected dut to the drop of btc.
What do you think is thier a chance for eth to stop following btc and pump before btc.
I think It is good question, When ethereum stop following bitcoin. Many people also think about that, because there is several reason why ethereum follow bitcoin. Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryprocurrency, Bitcoin is the King of crypto and Bitcoin is so popular
-
It's very difficult to say that because Ethereum is very dependent on the price of Bitcoin and not just from Ethereum but from all altcoins.
Maybe it would be more appropriate for me to describe if Gold has a rising price, all silver, copper and brass also increase in price.

Some cryptocurrency researchers are now arguing that ethereum will soon be out of the influence of bitcoin, as this coin acquires a new status. I would like to believe that it will be so. However, I think that over time, in any case, Bitcoin will lose its high level of capitalization and its price dominance over other types of cryptocurrency will decrease.
-
I think Ethereum will stop to follow BTC price if there is no Bitcoin again or no longer Ethereum in crypto space. ;D
As they are connected like a father and son, it is unlikely to separate. Even if nothing impossible or it is always possible for them to separate, but I really doubt about it.
-
if I think the price of ethereum also depends on the price movement of bitcoin, if the price of bitcoin has decreased the price of other altcoins, it will also follow, so I also believe bitcoin and ethereum are also interconnected.
-
I think it is still difficult for Ethereum to stop following bitcoin in the near future. It takes a long time for that. Because I think Ethereum is still not ready to not follow bitcoin.
-
in my opinion, it takes a long time for ethereum to break away from the influence of bitcoin. ethereum does not yet have the ability to escape. so it is unlikely this will happen in the near future.
-

Agree. It is hard to not follow the Bitcoin. There is a strong correlation between the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum or even all coins in crypto market. As long as Bitcoin is the number 1 coin in crypto space, I assume it will always influence Ethereum and other crypto coins values.
-
Im assuming its the transmission going back into first. If I do similar on my MT and then go into first somewhat soon after stopping from neutral, Ill feel a similar thud from the transmission. It almost feels like it pulls me forward slightly but its just the input shaft being stopped quickly and is normal noise.
Does yours happen EVERY single time you stop? Mine only occurs sometimes.
-
All new altcoins have the opportunity to get the highest price, if you look at ethereum which currently still has good prices from the beginning of 2018, Bitcoin will always be the first because this coin has many community members who are still holding large amounts of Bitcoin since 2009 and up to at the moment this coin really affects the price of all altcoins
-
I think Ethereum has a chance of not being dependent on Bitcoin. But for this you need to wait a lot of time. Since, if you look at the coinmarketcap, at the moment almost all altcoins depend on Bitcoin in price.
-

Ethereum will stop follow bitcoin, may at several years again when ethereum more popular than bitcoin. But I think It is difficult, because I see bitcoin is still superior. Bitcoin is still the king. When It happens. Maybe ethereum will more stable than now.
-
Bitcoin is the king of the cryptomarket so Bitcoin is taking decision in the cryptomarket Like a leader so all altcoins are following Bitcoin price include ethereum I don't know when it stop actually it will continue forever.
-
The OP question is very easy to answer because the question is almost the same as everyday life in carrying out activities.
For example, when you eat, you must also drink and it cannot be separated because if you eat without drinking, it will feel your sore throat.
If Bitcoin goes up it's not fun if Ethereum is still stagnant at the same price.
-
It possible when Ethereum would be the stable and fully self dominated coins. But it is now impossible because bitcoin and Ethereum two both unstable coins and depend each another. But very often possible we will see Ethereum as a stable coins like USDT and Pax.
-
Yes compared to bitcoin, Ethereum price dropped more than bitcoin. When I invested in bitcoin and Ethereum, then bitcoin price around 17000 USD dollars and Ethereum price was 1200 USD dollars but now bitcoin price 9300 USD dollars and Ethereum only 190 USD dollars. So many gaps between price descrimination.

I did not any graph in market that ETH will stop following BTC. Actually always we see not only ETH but also all altcon following BTC pair. If any investor want to invest also in crypto they also follow ETH/BTC pair so how we can neglected BTC for pumping ETH??
-
This is very though question because of bitcoin dominance, almost all altcoins are still dependent on BTC. But we might see it low once the trend of altcoins continue to surge and its use case and mass adoption. The real thing right now is will most of all giant companies use eth or not.
-
I think eth never stop following btc
btc today is the king of cryptocurrency and eth still the queen.
No one can handle it
I love this digital asset. Hope btc pump up and eth still follow to pump
-
Ohh dude, btc is the mother and father of all crypto. Btw, its like a US dollar for another currencies. But its not logical, cuz all cryptos are independent and have their own budget.... How they can be dependet by btc, if they have own budget? Maybe im not understand something, but i see that...

Yes, the price on the decentralized cryptocurrency market is almost completely centralized and depends on the price of bitcoin. This is our paradox in the cryptocurrency market. Of course, this will not always happen. Over time, the price dominance of Bitcoin will inevitably decrease and the situation on the cryptocurrency market will change.
It has long been said that ethereum will eventually be able to get rid of the price dominance of bitcoin. Hope we can see it soon.
