because of market condition and some shit coins most of ICOs since 2018 have no use case thats why all dump only those survive who's have strong platform behind the scene.

Many need money fast and panic so they sell quickly even though the price is down. So it will make the selling volume higher and cause prices to decrease further. If we are able to wait and there is no dump action the price is likely to rise.

Because right now, it's time for prices to fall. When viewed from the 4-year cycle of BTC, fair if the current price of all altcoin down. The fall in BTC prices affects all cryptocurrency prices. So even though altcoins are the future currency (although some), but when it's time to go down, everything will go down.

Altcoins can be killed in price immediately due to various reasons, namely, because bounty hunters are ready to sell their earned tokens for a penny, investors also often kill the price, well, you should not forget that the creators of the project also can merge their tokens in huge amounts.

When you say future currency, you also focus on the usage and not just on the price. There are alts out there that has been dumped hard but the development and partnerships for mass adoption continues. You can use Litecoin with it partnership with UFC and Dash with its partnerships in Venezuela market for example.

Pump-dump is a temporary effect on the market, we cannot determine the future of altcoins by this activity. I think not all altcoins can be future currency. As my understanding, only Bitcoin that has the most potential chance to be future currency.

I realize that pumping and dumping happen repeatedly on market. I think some people are playing their strategies to get benefits during the decline in the market. Well, it shouldn't come from a little trader, a little investor, or bounty hunters. I believe it comes from whales or big investors.

You must have detected that the majority of the ICO launches bounty campaigns and that i recognize that after the ICO is complete most of those bounty hunters dump their tokens.
This is the explanation that causes a worth dump within the starting of a token/coin obtaining listed on Associate in Nursing exchange. The potential of a coin is barely best-known when this era when the coin recovers.

May I ask why you excluded Bitcoins here? Did you consider it as a currency already?

On altcoins dumping, it's just the nature of the cryptocurrency market. Unless it's a stable coin like tether, always expect altcoins to move up and down. However, the volatility does not take away the qualities of altcoins as a currency.

Because they are more concerned with their products or technology to be developed. They are not concerned with the price of their coins. Because they believe that when BTC prices rise, the price of their coins will rise if they have developed their platform/product/technology.

In my opinion , I think the reason why some altcoins price keeps falling is because of the present market condition.
The Present market condition is in a way filtering useless coins from good coins, so the price of useless ones keep getting shitty by the day.
I think it's a good development.

When Btc makes a small movement, unfortunately, the same scenario is always occurring. In a small fluctuation, unfortunately, all infants are experiencing an unbelievable decline and take a long time to recover. I hope this time they'il be faster.

The dump for many altcoin's prices is caused by big investors or whales. They do it to get more assets and expect large profits. I think it is not a scenario of the developers. Some altcoins may become future currencies, but some cannot.

~snip~ However there are promising altcoins that pump in price when listed on exchanges and because they see the potential in that project.

Nowadays, it is difficult to find out an altcoin that is pumped the price once listed on exchanges. Mostly of coins are dumped by whales when they are listed on exchanges for the first time. Moreover, they will dump and pump the coin prices repeatedly later on. It is the current fact, guys.

What i know is that out of all the altcoins less than a handful of them can really make something out of it so the dump in price is common thing we should see.

It's not like that this situation occurs due to the continuous bearish trend. In the late 2017 almost all the projects when listed on exchange opens above the ICO selling price. So I believe its a matter of time unless market get bullish momentum. So be optimistic thing will be improved in the coming months.

I give you my opinion.
Dumps are the consequence of low volume.
If the request is low, the price goes down.
But, it doesn't mean that the project has low quality.
Sometimes it's needed to check volume and if exchanged volume is low, the potentian rise is always high!

Yeah, almost all projects always say that altcoins will be the future cryptocurrency with their own technology and system offered. However, it may happen in the future, not in recent years. We all know that this bearish market is still here and it is still continuing. So, we cannot expect more about altcoin prices. All coins from ICO or IT will be dropped after they are listed on the exchange, they will be so difficult to reach their ICO price. It needs more than 2 years for this kind of investment. So difficult and sad to know this.

I have been toying with the idea in my mind of a machine learning algorithm that can detect the early stages of a pump-and-dump and ride the wave. If anybody ever reverse-engineered the algorithm, it would be highly susceptible to exploitation, but until then it would be a fun little cash cow..  :) :)

Cause a lot of traders using these altcoins to gain in the market. Same like whales pumping and dumping tokens so hard. But not all of it are pump and dump coins. You caan always spot a hidden gem amongst those shitcoins. It just a matter of picking which is which.

In my opinion, the dump of Altcoin prices is influenced by the price of large Cryptocurrency coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Especially the price of Bitcoin, Bitcoin is now down and this has a huge effect on Cryptocurrency. So many new Cryptocurrency projects, which don't have good value. you can even say, now is a very bad time for new altcoins.

Many altcoins have fallen greatly in price, since most of them either do not have a working product yet, or no longer will have.  Now few people are interested in altcoins without developers and product.  Although during bull run, I believe that there are will raise the price of almost all altcoins.

It is known that in a bear market, the price of altcoins decreases many times more than bitcoin, because in such a market, many people sell their altcoins and prefer to buy cryptocurrencies that are most reliable.

There are many altcoins and no one controls the price movements of coins in the market, this is crypto and everything is decentralized.
I saw all the coins dropping in the coinmarketcap, even as Bitcoin dropped at the price of $ 3900 in February, I waited for bullrun and was still waiting.

The entire market is facing this current situation, and when we talk about altcoins, not all of them will survive the long run. Lots of these altcoins are shit coins in the market, having no value. ICOs from 2018 gave room for the spring up of lots of scam ICOs, which has made the market filled with lots shit coins. Only the coins/ICOs that has a strong base will survive for the long run.

I assume because whales or big players in crypto market become more greedy to gain profits. It is absolutely very bad condition, this makes crypto coins/tokens be worthless. People become very hard to make money from selling coins/tokens. The regular dump should be stopped.

competition and the many types of coins or tokens that make a dump price. If the number of altcoins is limited, maybe the price will stabilize and increase. however, it cannot happen considering new ideas and user needs to create new altcoins.
