I learned these strategies from social media and shared with you so that you can use this strategy too. But these strategies are more effective for long-term investment.

Strategy Number #1: Need to check coins website.

If you are interested to investing in any cryptocurrency, you have to know about the website of those coins very well. you have to check everything, including team members and if you feel better about their website then you should go to the next step.

Strategy Number #2: Read the "whitepaper"

Read the whitepaper of the coin you are about to invest. Not only ICO’s have whitepapers, every signle coin out there has a whitepaper that explains what they are aiming to do and how and when they plan to execute it. It is essential to check the problem they set out to solve, the solution they have come up with, the team behind the product, and  their roadmap to see in which stage they are at the moment. All those are the basics that you need to know before you invest in any cryptocurrency.

Strategy Number #3: Check Market capitalization.

Check the circulating supply of the coin and its price, or on other words the cryptocurency’s market capitalization.  Be carefull on your calculations because some coins have partially circulating coins and not the full amount is tradable

Strategy Number #4:- Check Coin liquidity and volume.

Check the trading volume of a coin on the last 24 hours, looking at coinmarket.com is xpressed in USD and BTC. The higher 24h volume reflects a more established coin with a solid base, at least one functioning exchange (where the volume comes from) and perceived value by the trading community.

Strategy Number #5:- Check Developers activitiy.

It is extremely important that you check developers activity. The truth is – anyone who knows how to code can design their own cryptocurrency. And that, unfortunately, comes with a lot of scams. The majority of successful, or promising, coins are announced on forums and through a public software repository such as GitHub.

Strategy Number #6: Check social media presence.

Last but not least check the social presence of the cryptocurrency. It is extremely importand that the cryptocurrency you are looking to invest for long or short term to have a good base of supporters. Look at the social media, but don’t be fooled by facebook and twitter numbers, check the conversation about the cryptoccurency on reddit, or Bitcointalk. There you can find the true community behind a coin and to see if it has a strong support. A coin with strong support has way more chances on succeeding in the market.

Thanks a lot and good luck for the future.

I wonder how many more girls are in this forum?
Or who of the guys is teaching his girlfriends and wives to invest and trade in crypto-currencies? It is very interesting to me!

Cryptocurrency discussions / How to detect Scam ICO/ potential fail projects
« on: September 23, 2018, 02:18:17 PM »
It is becoming more worrisome in the cryptosystem, so many scam ICO and also failed projects. We do so many bounties and end up with useless tokens of failed project.

I am quite an amateur in the system but I know research has to be done before embarking on investing time or money in an ICO by reading about them in different platforms or even checking out their community, team and investors but sometimes I still guess wrong.

I would like to ask the experienced in crypto how to be sure a project isn't a scam and how to determine their success.
I've been following the forum quite a bit and I hope I get response to help me and others enlightened.

Thanks for your time. Much appreciated

Cryptocurrency discussions / POW tokens : Frequently asked questions
« on: September 23, 2018, 01:08:13 PM »
A lot of people, including me, have some questions about this new launched token.
Well, here's an overview from their FAQ section.

ALL ABOUT POW 'LITE'

WHAT IS MY POWTOKEN.COM ACCOUNT FOR?
Your POWtoken.com account is for sending and receiving POW 'lite' to and from your friends. Initially we have integrated with Facebook, but will soon roll-out more social media platforms that can be used. All the free allocations of POW 'lite', are simoultaneously represented by a real ERC20 token on the blockchain. These real ERC20 POW tokens are held in a single ETH account on the Ethereum blockchain. Your individual holding of POW 'lite' is kept track of using a centralised database and is 'off-Blockchain'. The POWtoken.com site operates that database and gives you access to your POW 'lite' and the ability to transfer it to friends (currenctly restricted to your Facebook friends, but soon to be including your friends on all the major social media networks).

ARE THERE ANY FEES?
There are zero transaction fees on transfers when you send or receive POW 'lite' between other POWtoken.com account holders. At some point in the future we may introduce a small fee to cover the running costs for the centralised servers. If POWtoken.com proves to be a massive success, the costs of a centralised server could be start to be quite large and will require a small fee to be added to each transaction. This fees would likely be just 1 or 2 cents per transaction which is still a fraction of the costs of making similar transactions on the Blockchain currently.

CAN SOMEBODY SEND ME POW IF WE ARE NOT FACEBOOK FRIENDS?
No, but there is a simple solution - send them a 'Facebook Friend Request' and as soon as they accept, they can log back into POWtoken.com and they will see you have been added to the list of contacts that they can send POW 'lite' to. In the next release we are planning to allow users on POWtoken.com to send POW 'lite' to other account holders who are not their Facebook friends - this will for instance allow you to be paid for service and goods from people who you do not know.

CAN I SEND POW TO A SOMEONE IF WE ARE NOT FACEBOOK FRIENDS?
No, but there is a simple solution - send them a 'Facebook Friend Request' and as soon as they accept , log back into POWtoken.com and you will see they have been added to the list of contacts that you can send POW 'lite' to. In the next release we are planning to allow users on POWtoken.com to send POW 'lite' to other account holders who are not their Facebook friends - this will for instance allow you to pay for service and goods from people who you do not know.

CAN I SELL POW 'LITE' FOR CASH?
Not yet. But our plan is to build a 'bridge' between POW 'lite' and POW ERC20 by December 2017. This bridge will allow you to transfer your POW 'lite' onto the Ethereum Blochain where it will becom POW ERC20. You will then be free to sell your POW ERC20 for cash. So, in the long term, the answer to your question is yes.

WHAT IS POW ERC20?
POW ERC20 is an Ethereum Blochain asset or 'token'. Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency on the planet. Ethereum is slightly different to Bitcoin in that it is designed to allow 3rd parties (such as POW) to create 'Tokens' which piggyback on the Ethereum Blockchain. It means that you get all the benefit of a Blockchain, without the need for creating a network of miners to keep the ledger up-to-date. Of course, the miners have to be paid, which is why transaction costs on the Ethereum network are actually quite high. Our innovation is to 'lump' all the users accounts together (rather like a nominee service does for equity holdings) and keep them on a single ETH address (ETH or Ether, is the currency of the Ethereum Blockchain). We then get really creative by issueing the users with POW'lite' which they can trade with other POWtoken.com account holders, with zero transaction fees. The POW'lite' collectively add up to the total number of POW ERC20 being held in the single ETH account designated for this purpose. As we talk about elswhere in these FAQs, the plan is to create a bridge between the POW'lite' world and the POW ERC20 world, by December 2017.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Sold all my ETH and bought ADA
« on: September 23, 2018, 12:59:30 PM »
ADA is worth 1/10th of ETH in terms of market cap, but has so much more potential. Completely lost my confidence in ETH as new ICO's on decline, unknown inflation etc etc.

Cryptocurrency discussions / EOS - SCAM OR NOT? BUY OR NOT?
« on: September 23, 2018, 12:22:02 PM »
EOS. The project is very good. Token is worth a lot because now is 18 $ (the token started from the price of 2 $). People buy. However, everywhere is described as SCAM. It's quite good for a scam, right?

I am tempted to buy. Has someone got this coin? Does anyone of you invest for that?

I know the topic was once but nothing came of it ...

Cryptocurrency discussions / ETH will hardfork to Constantinople in October
« on: September 23, 2018, 11:52:56 AM »
Ethereum's upcoming hard fork, Constantinople, will activate in a testing environment next month, core developers agreed. However, due to the unpredictability of block confirmation times in the testing environment, an exact block number – the way most upgrades are timed within the blockchain space – for the testnet activation has yet to be finalized.
Similarly, the timing for activating Constantinople on ethereum's mainnet, or live blockchain, has yet to be fixed.
Will Ethereum comeback and be better?

Why are you guys join the bounty campaign?
And what's the most critical thing makes you participate in the bounty program?
I'm interested in it, and I want to listen to your thoughts.

Cryptocurrency discussions / 99% OF ALL AIRDROPS ARE SCAMS!!!!!
« on: September 22, 2018, 01:50:58 PM »
The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Will Dogecoin have a future?
« on: September 22, 2018, 01:13:50 PM »
Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

This stuff made me reflect, what if ETH just goes to zero because they won't make it in time or the miners will simply revolt again?
Can we really trust these POS implementations not to become an oligarchy? ETH is getting destroyed when it comes to price anyways, it's in for a hell of a ride.
