When I search for bitcoin and blockchain, many sites state that it's a decentralized, distributed ledger. But when I search for distributed ledger, almost all the article I've read explain it just like blockchain. I was really confused. Just what's the difference between those two? If there's no difference, then why are we using two words to describe the same thing?

Blockchain is a form of distributed ledger that has a particular structure of a chain of blocks linked to one another and secured by cryptography.
