Sorting Box / Re: Is KYC really a good thing?
« on: October 17, 2020, 10:20:01 PM »
It depends on the purpose of kyc and if the said project is worth it. I have nothing against kyc personally but most of my friends don't want anything to do with projects requesting for personal details. Most times kyc get introduced cause of abuse and multiple account spamming which is quite understandable. It is always right to introduce kyc at the beginning of any project agreement or campaign not towards the end or at the end.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The power of patience in cryptocurrency?
« on: October 17, 2020, 10:00:31 PM »
Patience is truly needed in crypto, most people that lose are those without patience. Holding and trading without emotions really helps a lot, I have sold a coin in 2019 at - 40% cause i scared and it ended up mooning upto 500% in the next week. This analysis doesn't always work cause some coins end up losing its market value permanently though its rare.

You are very right, UNI team were very generous and they rewarded their liquidity providers and traders. It is quite commendable, though I missed it unfortunately. There have been some big airdrops in the past but after 2017 there hasn't been any airdrop quite close to Uniswap drop.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Bank account vs wallet !
« on: October 17, 2020, 09:21:19 PM »
When you think about it, if your bank account is tampered with by a fraudster there is always a way out to track your funds and recover it. There are ways the bank can track the transaction and the details of the fraudster will be revealed and there is a high probability of recovery your funds but I can't say same about losing your funds to fraudsters in your crypto wallet. Blockchain is fully decentralized it almost impossible to recover funds lost to fraudsters.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Is this the new style of crypto scam?
« on: October 17, 2020, 09:09:54 PM »
This is not really new in this crypto space, there are a lot of scammers that want to hack into unsuspecting and gullible airdropers wallet. There are so many scam projects especially in this Defi era claiming to list immediately on Uniswap but request for personal details of participants.

A lot of coins will eventually fade out while the ones with solid foundation will exist for long term. Some team members can't manage a project probably cause they were too greedy or they misused funds raised for the development. Most of this bad projects get delisted on several exchanges and eventually stop existing. This is a major disadvantage of long term holding in my opinion.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The Most Popular Cryptocurrencies.

Top 5 in CoinMarketCap are really great but  Bitcoin will be still the king and Ethereum will still be like second best or the best altcoin. Bitcoin has already been accepted by some organisations in different countries. Ethereum is doing greatly too. Bitcoin will is already creating mass adoption and getting a lot recognition worldwide.

It is really risky investing in new coins without checking out for a lot of factors. Before making investment on  any new project, research on how genuine the team behind it is and if they are  very professional when it comes running a project. Check the social media handle and some of their partnerships before investing. I personally don’t invest in new project, but the ones  existing already cause I will  look after their past performance and how strong their investors their community. The reviews from the investors is very important. Always do your research very well cause a lot of new projects can exit scam easily.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: THE RUSH ON Binance smart chain
« on: October 16, 2020, 08:29:29 PM »
Yes, this is a very good observation and it is really great cause Binance smart chain transaction fees are way lower than the Ethereum network which is a major factor to consider. Most times the transactions on smart chain happen swiftly which is amazing. I hope the transaction fee won't get higher with time as many projects rush to it.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: KYC at the end of bounty
« on: October 16, 2020, 08:25:15 PM »
It depends on the particular bounty campaign and the project team. Some bounty projects will demand for kyc after the end of campaign which is very wrong and unjust cause some participants aren't comfortable giving out their personal information and wouldn't have wasted their precious time joining such campaign. Asking for kyc after campaign is wrong, it should be stated at the beginning of a campaign, many hunters end up losing their rewards as a result of this.

I joined as an airdroper that wanted to earn free token and sell to pay bills but with time I realised that there are many opportunities in the crypto space. I started trading and it seems profitable, discovered that crypto is the next big thing that happened to the world. I am really excited to be a crypto enthusiast, have really earned a lot of money even during the pandemic and recession in my country. Cryptocurrency is my home and I believe that it will open doors to a lot of revolutions and opportunities for the whole world.

I don't think it's stupid cause everyone has the right to sell their assets at their desired time. But I think it is a bad idea selling for loss or panic selling when we can always hold to make profits. Selling at the top and buying low is the best strategy I know. Top 10 cryptocurrency will always remain relevant and I think no one should sell them for loss, I believe mass adoption is near and those crypto will eventually become a gem cause the demand will be very high.

Traditional banks will always be here though crypto might take its full course in some developed countries that adopted it early enough. Traditional banks will always remain cause it has its own functions which cannot be overemphasised. In future crypto banks can collaborate with them to make transactions seamless and decentralized. This will take a lot of years to happen but I can see it happening in the future.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto currency is all about HODLING.
« on: October 15, 2020, 12:25:06 PM »
Long term holding cryptocurerncies has its advantages cause investors won't be bothered about the volatility issues in the market. Most times people panic sell when there are certain volatilities in the market which result in big losses. Long term holding has its disadvantages cause some of the crypto being held might lose its market value permanently which will make it a shit coin eventually. Sometimes the traders lose their private keys of wallet recovery phrases for most of the long term holding.
