Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling illegal?
« on: March 14, 2024, 04:40:00 PM »
I asked this question because most people tend to criticize gambling alot, and most gambling platforms has been banned by the government. I want to know if gambling is illegal.
And secondly why is football players not allowed to gamble ? Does this means that it is illegal?
Shear your ideas ob this guys....

Gambling is not illegal but in many countries it is been regulated, if a country decides to ban a gambling firm I think it is for a reason, is either such firm is been used for dubious activity, I want you to understand that what you fund as a gambler is your wallet and this wallet can be used for laundering of money depending on the gambling platform deposit limit, so before you'd hear that a gambling firm was banned, you should make thorough investigation to ascertain the exact event that led to such act of the government on them, sometimes it can be that they are flaring government laws on task or they are not paying tax.
Football players are not allowed to play because gambling is an emotional thing, just imagine if you staked a game and you are a player in such match, you will want to do everything possible to make sure that your stake worked accordingly and this too can cause you injury because of your over anxiousness to win the bet.

Yesterday during the Champions League game between Arsenal and FC Porto, I saw a girl between the ages of 19 and 23 checking her betting ticket even thought she has the legal right to gamble since she is above 18years, it still appeared so awkward to me. I had so many concerns going on in my mind. I was worried that such a young girl would be gambling and also boldly checking her ticket in a viewing centre. I wondered how she gets money to gamble. I wonder what will become of her if she gets addicted to gambling. I also wondered if her parents are aware that she is into sports betting regardless that she is of legal age. I want to hear your views on how you perceive young female sports gamblers.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with female gambling as far as such girl falls within the age that's permitted to gamble and again hence she can control her limit of not becoming an addict there is nothing wrong with that.
I know that in different countries or environment people see this in different perspective but what matters in gambling is the ability of the individual involved to control the urge of always chasing loses and going for more.
Less we forget, most people see gambling as a fun, so are we going to deprive them such activity, gender should not be attached in gambling but addiction should be condemned in totality.

This is the first approach a gambler should take before gambling especially newbies, if you are newbie in sportsbet or other gambling, there are things you should lookout for before placing a gamble, in sportsbet to be precise there are many option which you must know before deleting the among your relation, though some bets companies made it very easy for someone to ready and understand them clear.
Betking made this very easy in every option or selection the meaning of such selection is close to the click so if you read through you will understand the selection without further explanation.
Op this is a very good thread and gamblers should not take it for granted because bet companies are adding more options everyday.

There is a huge possibility of younger or new generations adopting cryptocurrency investments compared to them getting interests on farming and food related sectors. What do you think? Does it have a good or bad effects on our economy?

It will have a negative impact in our economy, when oil was not in existence agriculture was the source of income for many nations, though we are in the digital era which I believe that many people are interested in digitization and it's potentials, but I have to tell us that if the younger generation diverse their attention from Agriculture it will be a disaster in terms of food security and scarcity because with the little I know, I believe that digital asset is just for making profits or may using your profit in purchasing whatever you want, but in real sense it is not food, humans be it young or old should take agriculture as a priority not only for the benefit of the economy but also for individual consumption.

Yes, setting a resolution plan for the new year is a good thing, but the most important thing is to commit to implementing the plan for the rest and not to be lazy or surrender to failure.

For example, last year, I made a plan to do some exercises to lose weight. At first, I adhered to the plan and started exercising every day, but after about a month had passed, I got bored and started to stop exercising little by little.

The same thing happens to people who make a plan to quit smoking, for example, and the same goes for financial plans. What is important is patience and persistence until the end.

Most time people found themselves in this situation because of either lack of concentration or their inability to stick to the initial plan, it normal, that's human character, before you set any resolution, you should have a good strategy to accomplish, note resolution can be very tasking and it needs discipline to keep it going, I have a cousin brother whose yearly resolution is always stopping smoking but it doesn't work for him because he doesn't have a good strategy on how to quit, many people fall this victim even in financial aspect, if you want to go a little bit further in your finances, you have cut your expenses and do more savings and investment that's the only way to achieve it, in conclusion before you make any resolution, you should lay out plans on how to progressively achieve your aim.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: could adoption make BTC price less volatile?
« on: February 12, 2024, 01:00:25 AM »
since the next halving will only generate 3BTC for each block, this number could easily be absorbed by the institutions wanting to grab more BTC.  due to less supply in the market there are speculation that this could even be the last bull run. do you think so too?

and could adoption of BTC make the price less volatile that not too many people will sell and the price will be stable?
just something to foresee what could happen in the future.

Bitcoin is said to be a volatile asset and I think that it's volatility is responsible for it's anti-inflation character, note if the price is stable people will not like to buy again because it will remain at a particular price without increment or decrement, so is that what we want, any commodity that is been influenced by the market force will always be volatile, for me, the more people adopt bitcoin, the more volatile it becomes, volatility is a bitcoin thing so there nothing anyone can do about it.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Hold and trade which is best for you?
« on: February 12, 2024, 12:50:41 AM »
point of main, holding need long time but trading is short time which you can make money everyday from trading.
First of all you need to understand holding or trading everything you need to have knowledge. As an experienced trader earns a lot of money by trading daily. On the other hand if a good investor can buy good currency then he can also get profit.

The possibility of making profit and losing too are almost the in trading, going by what trading entails I think one need an advanced knowledge in trading before he or she can be become conversant with the trading strategy, you don't go into trading just like that because if you do, you are going to lose everyday, while if you decide to hold, the knowledge required is just basic not much, you just have to know how to keep keep your crypto secured in a wallet and hold for as long as you like without losing them. No matter how we see it, hidling is the best option for crypto enthusiast.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Are Shit coins good investment?
« on: February 05, 2024, 10:39:02 PM »
Let's not generalise things because we might have faced in the hands scammers, so many shitcoins are good investments, but the problem is identifying the good ones, no doubt bitcoin is the safest digital asset or investment but we should note that many people have the mindset that putting all their eggs in one basket in respect to digital investment is not wise, that's you see people looking for different coins to invest in, and don't blame anyone one thinking that way, the only time I can blame a potential investor is when he or she doesn't have a good basic knowledge of what he wants before investing.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Nothing like long-term investment

Omo all these Altcoin tokens don show me serious pepper so tay I decide I no go ever in est for them again, if I open mouth talk howuxh I don throw away because of scam tokens, chaii them don chop me use me do father Christmas when I been still start this crypto journey, the thing make me almost give up say I no do again but I just zero mind and decided to dey invest for Bitcoin. Normally Bitcoin no be like other investments oo but at least I get assurance say them no go scam me and even if na in the next 50 years, my investment dey safe and na wetin matter pass.

Like you said you have suffered many loss from some altcoin investment, to me, this because you invested without little or more research about the tokens, no matter good you are in the system, some new projects are very dangerous for one to invest, so if you must be free from scam, research is the best thing to do, the world crypto is made up many scammers and we must beware of them.
For one not to be scammed, such person will avoid free aidrops or token, this is where the scamming stuff comes, they will twist your brain to the extent that if care is not taken you will fall for the cheap scam method, make sure you go for the one people know next time.
