Forum related / Forum Time?
« on: March 26, 2024, 08:22:47 PM »
Admin can you please tell us what is the exact Forum Time?

I can't find it here, like we have it in other forums, and I think it can be very useful especially for some giveaways, rewards and competitions.
Time zones can be confusing for some people, and Forum Time can help a little with that.

PS
I can't find forum time as a guest.

Stable Coins Forum / USDM stablecoin can't be frozen?
« on: March 19, 2024, 04:25:50 PM »
I heard the news about new stablecoin USDM being released on Cardano blockchain, and they claim it is better than USDT and USDC because it can't be frozen.
Thy have limited release now, and they are based in New York and they obtained licenses in United States, with Europe and UK coming later this year.
Maybe nobody can freeze USDM coins, but they can freeze their bank accounts and ban it in future.

General Discussion / Digital watch that can store Bitcoin data?
« on: March 08, 2024, 09:36:10 PM »

I am looking for a digital watch that can store data, something like old Casio Databank or G-Shock watches that has enough memory to store bitcoin seed phrases.

Old Casio G-Shock G-2900F can store up to 315 characters total and it is possible to add pin password, so it is possible to use it as temporary seed storage.

If you know about some good alternative watches please post them below, but note that I am not looking for modern smart watches.

Crypto Wallets / [LIST] Multicoin Open Source Wallets
« on: March 06, 2024, 07:41:55 PM »
There are several good open source Bitcoin wallets available for both desktop and mobile devices, but situation is not that great for people who want to use one wallet for multiple coins.
Many people used Coinomi wallet for years but they changed the source code and developers are not maintaining it anymore.

I decided to start working on creating a list of Multicoin Wallets that are open source or with similar source available license.
There won't be any rating in my list, but I will write my short review for most of them with pros and cons.

Any wallet in this list must support Bitcoin mainnet BTC along with other additional coins!

Desktop wallets::

Mobile Wallets:

Wallets for Bitcoin and Liquid assets L-USDT and L-BTC:

Note that safest option for this purpose is to use hardware wallets like Trezor, Bitbox, Keystone, Onekey, Satochip, etc.

This topic is work in progress, and it is opened for discussion.

Coinbase / Coinbase down
« on: February 28, 2024, 10:13:36 PM »
Coinbase customers are reporting issues with this exchange saying they have "zero balance" on their accounts, options for selling and buying are not working, but Coinase claims "assets are safu."
From their official twitter account they posted a tweet confirming they are aware of this and they are investigating it.
Strange how this things always happens when Bitcoin goes up.

We are aware that some users may see a zero balance across their Coinbase accounts & may experience errors in buying or selling. Our team is investigating this & will provide an update shortly. Your assets are safe.

Forum related / Always Online and Green?
« on: February 28, 2024, 09:41:53 PM »
Someone told me that my profile is showing always green like I am always online and available in forum, but that is not true because I don't keep my browser always opened.

What does green square in my profile means, that I am logged in, or that I am online in forum?

I would like this to be hidden in settings if possible, like in other forums.

Crypto Exchanges / FixedFloat exchange hacked!
« on: February 19, 2024, 11:58:15 PM »
FixedFloat exchange was hacked on February 18 and they lost Bitcoin and Ethereum worth around $26 million!
They confirmed this incident on twitter and they shut down their swap service until further notice.
Keeping this amount of money on hot wallets is crazy for any service.  :P

Suggestion Box / Privacy Board
« on: February 06, 2024, 09:03:04 PM »
We all know that it's not easy to delete posts in AltcoinsTalks forum, and we need to pay for this to be enabled.

I am proposing one compromise to forum owners to create one board called Privacy or Private Talk.
Subject will obviously be privacy and members would be able to delete all topics and posts created there.
For start maybe this should be available only for higher ranked members to avoid spam and scam.

Forum related / Wall of fame/shame - Shit posts so bad that they are funny
« on: February 02, 2024, 08:00:09 PM »
OK, so bitcointalk member xtraelv made similar topic in bitcointalk forum, and I think we need to have something similar for altcoinstalks forum.

No hard feelings anyone but I have seen some of the worst crap in my life written in this forum by some members, made only because of signature campaign payments.

You are free to post anything you want here and I hope this helps to improve quality of posts in this forum.

Quote or post a screenshot for some of the worst posts you have seen here.

Privacy Coins Forum / CMC is JUNK and Anti Privacy!
« on: January 28, 2024, 11:03:58 PM »
CoinMarketCap is owned by Binance and I always knew they are not going to be honest, but look what they are doing now with privacy coins!
They made ICP or Internet Computer as number one privacy coin that has nothing to do with privacy at all, and it is ranked above Monero now.
Even worse, they added WLD Worldcoin ranked at fifth place and they literally scanned eyeballs of people around the world for this crap  ::)
I am not sure if they are doing this on purpose or by mistake, but if you are still using CMC it's time to stop and switch to CoinGecko or some other alternative.

General Discussion / ANON lockers for delivery and forwarding?
« on: January 27, 2024, 04:56:32 PM »
I am looking for reliable service in Europe that can work as Anonymous Lockers service for receiving and sending physical packages while respecting customer privacy.

This can also be some type of forwarding service with physical addresses located in different countries around the Europe.

I would prefer if there was a way to pay with bitcoin, monero and other cryptocurrencies, but fiat payments are also acceptable.

Do you know any service like this based in Europe, and have you ever used it?
