Economics , Sociology & Politics / Gold and Bitcoin
« on: January 05, 2024, 10:54:49 PM »
If you mention gold in a public space, I believe that 100% of people in that place will actually know what gold is, and they know that gold is a valuable asset that can be traded for real money, but if you mention bitcoin in the same public space, only about 80% of people or less will know what bitcoin really is. Some of those people may have heard about Bitcoin but may not have the proper knowledge about Bitcoin.

So, my question is, for those of you that actually have good knowledge about Bitcoin and gold, which will you love to invest in, and what is your reason for choosing the asset?

Let's share ideas.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Trading is not same thing as Gambling
« on: January 04, 2024, 11:35:43 PM »
Most of the time, both online and offline, there has been some argument relating to the title of this thread. Some people think that trading is just based on luck, like the way gambling is basically dependent on how lucky the player can be. In trading, there are some trading tools and parameters that traders use to analyze the market. Despite the fact that the crypto market is quite unpredictable all the time, traders and some market analysts use most of the trading tools to analyze the direction of the market, and that's what gives them the insight to make some predictions that could actually be correct. Some market predictions may not actually be 100%, 90%, or 80% accurate, but in most cases, they could be around 60–70% accurate, and some traders will advise you to make sure you "take profit" where you have met a good sum of profit. It is better to take a profit than to wait for your prediction to actually be 100% of the price you expect to sell.

The crypto market is very dynamic, and despite the fact that crypto enthusiasts cannot actually be 100% accurate about the direction of the market, that doesn't mean that trading should be handled as gambling. As a trader, it's good to keep learning and developing your own personal strategy that can help you win in the market; otherwise, you'll experience more losses than profits.

Also, there are different kinds of trading, such as grid trading, spot trading, forex trading, and futures trading. Those kinds of leveraged trading, such as futures and forex, are a bit more risky than spot trading. Spot trading is what I actually prefer because it is just the normal buying of a coin or token when the price is okay for you, and you can sell after the price spikes a bit and generate little profit for you.

Conclusion: Trading is not the same thing as gambling, but if you want to handle trading as gambling, it's just your choice.

 :o  ::)

This topic is for Fun and also serious discussion. Share your experience on the most important thing or investment that you have actually made with the money you won from gambling.

Some people, right from when they started gambling, have not really make any good use of the money they won from gambling.

I will go first:

Well, for me, since I started gambling, while I was yet in the university, have actually bought some textbooks with money won from gambling, I have also feed my self with money won from gambling and it was very important to me.

I woke up this morning and saw I had 1 karma and also three new badges, but what I don't understand is why one of the badges I got is showing me as "Karma Bad." You can see it in the image below.

Secondly, I want to ask the function of the [+ karma] and [-karma] on people's profiles. I tapped on the + karma on someone's profile this morning, hoping it would bring up any further message or option, but it did not, and at a point I also thought my own karma would disappear and go to the person, but it did not.

My question is: what is the function of those keys in the image below? Again, if I award karma to a user, will it reduce my own earned karma?

I am unable to find an answer to the question in any other thread, so I decided to ask.

Well, regarding my title, I don't know what you guys think, but you can drop your opinion (it could be a disagreement or argument). Just drop your opinion.

First of all, I acknowledge the fact that there are different calibers of humans all over the world; some people hold great official power in different offices, companies, etc. Some people are also so extremely rich that they don't lack anything that money can buy, while others are so extremely poor that they need God to answer their prayers so that their wishes may come true. Some people are not too rich, but they are living a comfortable lifestyle with their families, and they are content with what they have and what they can afford.

Another thing is that some people are having some health challenges that they have been battling with for a long time, while others are living very healthy but have other personal challenges.

Most unhealthy people, directly or indirectly, might have been the cause of their health issues. For example, some people take different kinds of hard drugs, abuse their alcoholic intake, smoke cigarettes, abuse their daily diet (food abuse), abuse different things, and yet they are ignorant of going for medical checkups too.

Do you agree that there are some people that the doctor will advise to avoid the intake of some things, but they will hide in secret to still take those things they were warned not to?

There's a saying that "money can buy a lot of things for man's use, but at some point, money cannot buy life." If money could buy life, so many rich people (or their child) died, and money could not buy them a new, fresh life like they have lived from their childhood to old age.

There's also another saying that goes, "Make hast while it's daytime." Another says, "Whoever makes no plan, plans to fail."

Some people actually made different good plans when 2023 started, but it did not work out. That doesn't mean they must give up.

As our faces are different, that's how we all have different problems, different wishes, different plans, different expectations, different desires, different goals, and differences in majority of things if not everything.

There are some plans, goals, and desires that some of us could not archive this year, and the year is coming to an end. We have to try again next year, and as such, it is very important to make new-year resolution plans.

Thanks for reading. Drop your opinion.

I am not so familiar with the forum and seek an answer to my question below.

My Bitcointalk account got teleported to this forum and I am seeing 300+ activities on my account here after the teleport was successful.  My question is: how can I see my posts that was teleported from BTT to this forum or was it ghosted?
