With the current retracing done by Bitcoin, many are speculating that Elon Musk can be one of the many reasons why we are seeing the dump of the coin. According to them, Elon must have made a good profit because he sold his BTC at the height of its price and then rebought the same when there is a big dip.

Now, to answer the question, Elon Musk is saying that he has not sold his Bitcoin and he is HODLING for a long time which is an affirmation of his continuing belief on Bitcoin - and maybe Dogecoin as well.

No, he is not selling. Period.

"Tesla may have realized some of its Bitcoin profits, but CEO Elon Musk continues to hodl. Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has taken to Twitter to assure the crypto community that he has not sold any of his personal BTC stash, despite his company Tesla realizing profits from its recent Bitcoin buys.

Musk’s comments came in response to accusations from comedian Dave Portnoy that the Tesla CEO had profited from a Bitcoin pump and dump engineered through his public statements supporting the cryptocurrency.

Rejecting Portnoy’s assertion, Musk stated that “Tesla sold 10% of its holdings essentially to prove liquidity of Bitcoin as an alternative to holding cash on balance sheet,” adding: “I have not sold any of my Bitcoin.”

Do you think Elon Musk is telling us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Stop Looking At Your Crypto Portfolio
« on: April 24, 2021, 11:18:42 AM »

To avoid some heartache, headache and therefore some stress, I decided to stop looking at my portfolio tracker since I don't want to see the sea of red which is now affecting the whole cryptocurrency marketplace.

I know that all things are just temporary so maybe some few days from now we can see some greens already floating on our screen, and we can be back to exciting growth rates again.

April has become the Red Month for all of us, so I am hoping that come May there will be more Greens.

News related to Crypto / The TIME has come for BITCOIN
« on: April 13, 2021, 08:38:38 AM »

TIME magazine has partnered up with Grayscale to drop a series of educational crypto videos, and has agreed to be paid in Bitcoin.

Institutional fund manager Grayscale has partnered with acclaimed New York-based magazine TIME to produce an educational video series on the subject of crypto assets.

The partnership was announced on April by Grayscale’s CEO, Michael Sonnenshein, with Sonnenshein revealing that TIME and its president, Keith Grossman, will receive payment in Bitcoin.

Further, TIME does not intend to convert the Bitcoin it receives through the deal into fiat, and will hold the crypto asset on its balance sheet. No further details of the partnership have been revealed so far.

Well, this is amazing news. With time entering the Bitcoin party, am sure that this can mean that this newsmagazine platform will really be watching not just Bitcoin but the whole cryptocurrency marketplace.

Talking about institutional adoption, this is a  big example. Indeed, the TIME has come. And it is here to stay!

My portfolio of some little investment with some top digital assets is not moving at lot for the past two weeks while many others are jumping like crazy. I can feel some impatience within me while there is also that part of me telling me to just HODL on and be patient as my time will come at the moment I am not expecting.

Should this be the kind of mindset we should be adopting?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Lucky Alts Supported by Coinbase
« on: April 11, 2021, 06:41:58 AM »

Days before the official listing of Coinbase, they announced a support for the following digital assets: 1inch (1INCH), Enjin Coin (ENJ), NKN (NKN) and Origin Token (OGN). Right now, we can feel the impact of this new listing on prices of those coins and this is quite expected since Coinbase is the leader when it comes to the big USA market.

I am sure that it is now a big dream for many other coins and tokens to get listed and supported by Coinbase. I just realized that actually Coinbase is now supporting a good list of many other assets as well. Here is the list:

Do you own some of these coins and tokens?

Right now, I fully realized that in holding cryptocurrencies (including tokens, of course), one of the many things we have to understand is that waiting can be a game we have to play well. And of course, we can get bored looking at the value of what we are into and to see that they are not moving well upwards and even doing the opposite. There is a prize of waiting and that be a good return on investment when the price starts to get to the moon.

In my experience, many times I got so bored and decided to let go of a coin and then the following day the price started to kick up...oh my I then realized that sometimes all the stars are not aligning to make me lucky but then I see that it was a decision I made and I suffered the consequence.

So how then not to get bored? I make sure that I am learning the many things about the coin that I am holding. When the fundamentals are good and the team behind it are active - doing what they should be doing - then that can be a big reason why I am continually holding.

News related to Crypto / Meerkat drained by $31 million: A rug pull?
« on: March 06, 2021, 08:24:58 AM »

Meerkat Finance, a decentralized finance project, has just said it has been drained by $31 million worth-of crypto assets due to a hack. But on-chain data shows it may not as simple as that.

The team behind Meerkat Finance, a yield farming pool running on the Binance Smart Chain that went live just one day ago, claimed in its official Telegram channel around 9:00 UTC on Thursday that its smart contract vault was compromised.

The project was subsequently drained by about 13 million BUSD and about 73,000 BNB, which in total are now worth $31 million. The funds were further transferred to multiple new blockchain addresses.

This is another unfortunate incident and confirms what we know that there are some projects are just using the popularity of DeFi, so they can scam people and be rich out of the blood and sweat of innocent victims. This is another reason why we should be careful on a project we are supporting and make sure that the people behind them can be trusted and has a good level of integrity and professionalism.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Klever: Its Future and Potential
« on: March 06, 2021, 08:14:56 AM »

I am now a Klever believer. To be honest, I have not yet fully analyze this platform but judging on the buzz it has created and the many plans it is rolling out soon, I am sensing a good growth potential in here hence 4 days ago I made a decision to buy just some tokens and hopefully I can be staking them and earn 10% APR. They already have the wallet, and soon they are planning to have their own exchange, its browser and its blockchain as well.

Do you think I am making a good decision with KLV?

I just made a mistake of listening to the opinions of ordinary guys like you and me and this is now costing me money. I converted my holdings to USDT thinking that the dip can go deeper. Alas, the day after I saw that the market made a strong recovery, and it is now back to its former prices. This is clearly a big definition of "weak hands" and I am suffering the consequences of making a wrong choice.

A big lesson that we should be learning here in the world of cryptocurrency...better listen to people that has consistent records of spewing out good advices and not people who are just expressing their own baseless opinions.

Cryptocurrency discussions / The Bears Are Waking Up?
« on: February 28, 2021, 09:04:49 AM »
We are experiencing some big dip right now and of course we know that this can be so normal in this very volatile market...with some saying that a deeper dip can be in the making and that we should be prepared and not be caught by surprise. I am sure that the beats are waking up, and it is all up to the market to determine if we can have the company of the bears soon or will the bears be thrown back to where they belong...to the North Pole.

So what do you usually do during this stage...do you parked your cryptos in USDT or any stablecoin for the time being or maybe you are brave enough to just let the whole thing through?

Cryptocurrency discussions / What About ElonCoin or MuskCoin?
« on: February 21, 2021, 11:03:17 AM »
We know that lately the powerful influence of Elon Musk catapulted many coins into a very bullish state and we are still experiencing this excitement up to now, with some saying that we can be expecting the whole 2021 to be the pulsating year of cryptocurrency as more and more institutional money are getting into the party...and because the food, the music and the vibes are all excellent many are staying for good.

Elon Musk has been the man of the hour and I think there is no other current personality that is able to push cryptocurrencies to the "moon" or should I say to the Mars like him, though of course some are downplaying his contributions as he is not really behind any of these coins that we are talking about.

And that brings me to this topic: Will it be good to have Elon Musk himself introduce his own coin or token?

222

I am just wondering: is it a good time to introduce new projects during the bull run season like what we have right now? Or maybe it is kinda hard to get the most support from investors as more and more people are holding on to their digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum?

Personally, it would take a very good project with a very bright potential for me to open up my digital wallet and let go of my Ethereum to be converted to a new coin or token...and it is getting rarer that I am doing this.

What about you?

Binance Coin (BNB) / I Am Now Into BNB: Happy, Hoping, Doubting
« on: February 20, 2021, 03:54:03 AM »
Days ago I sold my small Bitcoin holding at around $45K thinking that there can be a minor correction at that time. Unfortunately, my lady luck was not working and may have been poisoned by a rat so instead of a correction BTC jumped some more, and it is now over at $50L zone. Made me shake my head a thousand times. I then thought of looking for another digital asset that has the potential to grow at least double in a very short period of time. Then I decided to go for BNB at the $155 price setting...and since it is now at over $300 I am smiling and just hoping that soon it can go beyond the $500 level...

Some people are predicting that BNB has the potential to go for the $1000 goal at the right time...now though I really doubting that am hoping that it can happen. What do you think?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Are We Officially In the Altcoins Season?
« on: February 19, 2021, 04:41:54 AM »
I think 2021 will go down in the cryptocurrency history as the biggest year so far as we are seeing new ATHs broke down by many coins and tokens in the expanding and pulsating cryptocurrency industry. Today, Bitcoin has gone to the moon and beyond, and yet there can be more as we are still no bears clearly on site. Ethereum, BNB, Cardano are just a few platforms making good impressive runs, and again many are expecting there can be more in the following days and weeks. So far, i still have to hear a chorus of warning that the winter is imminent so most probably more growth can be coming but of course at some point there can be a taper off time.

So can we now declare that the altcoins season has already come?

Bitcoin Forum / The Power of Corporate Buying of BTC
« on: February 09, 2021, 02:42:12 AM »
Wow, just after I am convinced that Bitcoin is having a very hard time to get past the important and psychological level of $40,000 and maybe BTC resting at around $37-38K, came the news that Tesla is planning to join the Bitcoin party by soon accepting the said cryptocurrency and that it just purchased $1.5 billion in BTC days ago. That very good news pushed the BTC above $40K and is now hovering in the vicinity of $46K -- looking at ways it can get into $50K soon.

Maybe if the rumored news that Apple is also planning to get into the Bitcoin thing can come true than we can see Bitcoin going beyond the $50K...so much good news happening here and this can be creating some sort of an avalanche for other big corporate entities to also make their presence known by buying Bitcoin and hitting the news at the same time. Well, that can be free advertising in the first place and possibly great profits just using one stone.
