I am new to this forum, but I have been reading the technical paper behind bitcoin and while I like many of its claimed properties, I would like to see something with a bit more explanation, as I am used from reading other cryptographic papers, which while dense can at least be shown to be wrong. To be able to analyze a system mathematically you need the equations. Pointing at the source code is not a substitute for that.

In a paper I shouldn't be the one who has to figure out why something is true; there should be proofs and a stupid computer should be able to follow it.

I am surprised you already got this far, since I would have expected people to demand that the system is solid first, before using it.

Next to the mathematical points there is also the issue of someone discovering a constructive method to generate blocks. Is there a way to switch to a different hash function if so required?

There is another efficiency issue: how much energy or machine operations of the whole network does it cost to verify one transaction? If it costs more to verify a microtransaction than its value, there seems to be something wrong; it might be that this is a fundamental limitation. A new money system would have to be able to scale billions of users. Is that manageable? If not, why is bitcoin presented as a new money system as opposed to just a cool hack?

hi is there are any other coin than minexcoin who pays more than 5% monthly return on to hold their coins in the wallets. i am not trying to promote the coin just want to diversify my investment...

Although there are obvious benefits to using certain crypto exchanges over others such as high liquidity and the ability to use your fiat currency (not so difficult for those USD holders), but what other factors attract you to a crypto exchange?

I noticed this phenomenon. Often someone buys up all the proposed tokens with a small amount of trading (for example, look at SMT on hitbtc this night), and after a few days these tokens go up in price very much. Is it worth buying such a token?

There's alot of people move out from Cryptocurrency some are for their loses and without experience,some are doing for in bounty campaigns but still not get result so I want to know behalf of that reason I have mention is correct. What do you think?

Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?
