Cryptocurrency discussions / Venezuela - future of crypto?
« on: January 10, 2019, 12:53:15 PM »
Probably most of you have already heard something about crypto situation in Venezuela. Their government is trying to fight with crisis in this country by crypto technology, they've introduced national cryptocurrency called Petro (which, as government maintains, has cover in national oil reserves - what explains the name of coin) and now they've published a new decree that obliges all crypto investors to pay taxes in digital currencies (here you have an article on BlockChian24.co subreddit about it)
But on the other hand, I've reed some articles about people living in Venezuela, who don't even know about Petro.
What do you think about situation in this country? You think it have a potential to become first fully opened on cryptocurrencies, or this whole case is only government noise made to cover their problems?

« on: December 12, 2018, 12:33:10 PM »
It looks like Zuckerberg is planning something connected with blockchain technology. They keep it in secret, but there are some leaks (on spam blocked b you can read more about it). What it will be? I bet we could expect something which will help to maintain users data safe (and of course eventually sell them, it's Zuckerberg after all xD ). But what do you think?

Bitcoin Forum / Beaten almost to death for Bitcoins
« on: December 05, 2018, 04:12:47 PM »
I have posted few days before an thread about crime related crypto activity. About woman who tried to fund ISIS with bitcoin. It's a shame that this technology can be used for such a thing. But now I've read something much worst.
In South Africa, some man was invited for, via facebook, to perform an presentation about cryptocurrencies. But when he had came up, he get drugged and beaten. Robbers made him (with a help of hot iron) to transfe his bitcoins on their account, took everything what he had and left him on a street. He's still recovering in a hospital from burns. You can find whole story here.
It is terrible what people can do. Please, be careful when you talk about your cryptocurrency. You never know who is listening and what he will do with this knowledge.

Cryptocurrency discussions / G20 and plans for taxation of crypto
« on: December 04, 2018, 12:13:48 PM »
As you probably know, Argentina hosts this year G20. This event is always an important thing in global politic, but in this year leaders of the most important countries have really interesting subject to discuss - crypto taxation. It looks like cryptocurrencies are getting more and more attention of governments and now they're planning to have better control on it.
Despite my aversion for G20 idea (it looks like exclusive club for the richest guys, where they're deciding about global politics like some kings [I know, one of them is de facto a king]) I can't blame them for trying to get crypto market into their hands. They have finally realized how important cryptocurrencies are. The real question is: will their plans succeed?
here you have an article on spam blocked b, you should also check info from non-crypto sites because they have little different point of view about it.
